Great Compact Camera

Love this camera. Fits into my pocket. Very fast start up. Mostly use this as my video camera. 3" LCD is awesome. I don't like using a viewfinder with a compact camera, that's what SLR's are for. Very easy to use. Only draw back was that I had to send it back to Canon to be repaired. Red dots were appearing on my pictures and videos. Canon repaired, though. Bought this back in July of 2007. Battery life is good.

Best Camera Purchase Ever
on December 29, 2008

I've had my SD750 for almost 2 and a half years. I needed a shirt pocket/pants pocket sized camera with great picture taking capabilities. My previous camera was the A80. Kinda bulky. The SD750 is the best camera purchase ever for me and I don't need to buy a camera for a very long time. Sorry Canon. Pictures are simply gorgeous. I have 3 batteries (just in case), and a couple of extra SD cards handy to do video as well as stills. In emergencies it has also doubled as a voice recorder for me. It's an amazing camera. Highly recommended.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable, multi-functional

I should have bought the ELPH first

Light and compact; I never miss a shot because my camera is always with me. The 750 has the largest display screen. I've taken some great night shots but do have to use a monopod. The programable mode makes it easy to shoot the way you like. All the extra features like the video zoom in/out and memory card size recording time limit are a bonus. I post these pictures to my website and others and also use them for a newsletter. Quality is fantastic. I purchased this ELPH because I have a Powershot A510 which is my "studio" camera. One for work, one for on the go. Canon is my choice for digital cameras.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

Great camera

I have had the camera for about 4 months and am very satisfied with the quality and features.
I am not satisfied with the manual. The printed one is to small and the online one is a PDF file, so there is no workable index.
They need to do training clips online showing the commonly used features.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
Cons: poor manual

I love this camera. I think it does a good job on taking pictures and I love the video feature. It comes in handy when I forget my bulky video recorder.

Love It

I love this camera. It is capable of taking a host of great pictures and if you get to know the settings and know what you are doing (I'm getting there), you can take fantastic pictures. I would recommend an extra battery and bigger memory card (I bought a 4GB). Enjoy. Best camera in the price range.

Best digital camera purchase I've ever made!

I've had my canon SD750 for five months now and have nothing but great things to say about this camera. Image quality is superb and the screen is huge, bright and crisp. Controls are easy to work, lots of options, start-up is instant with no lag time. High ISO settings (1600) for low light works great. Takes excellent macro. Battery life is surprisingly long and charges very fast. Camera is light and easily fits in your pocket. Can hold over 1000 images if set at lowest quality -- which is still pretty good -- with an upgraded card (factory one does not hold many at all ). Takes good videos. Canon software is easy to operate. Would certainly recommend this camera to anyone who wants awesome images without spending a lot. Price to value is bar none. Out performs higher priced competitors.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable
