This camera has no image stabilizer. What's the point of upgrading to this camera if it has basically the same technology in image stabilization as an old digicam? You're better off with other model that are actually cheaper and has more advanced features and specifications than this model. Powershot SD1100IS is actually one good example, it's almost $50 cheaper and yet it has more advanced specifications than this.
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor image quality, no image stabilizer

The OLD version of this camera was better!

As soon as I purchased this camera, (which was the new version of my old camera.) I realized it was slower at taking pictures then my old one. This camera did have more features, but as time went on, I realized the flash too was not working very well. I would NEVER tell anyone to purchase this.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, good battery life
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, incredibly slow flash, flash sometimes doesn't work at all, blurry pictures
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Camera was AMAZING. I loved it. It was the best ever.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

Everything about it is so great! We lost ours :( and now we're looking to buy another one. I love the cool little features and it has such great quality. I definitely recommend this to others!

Broken CCD

I received an SD750 as a replacement from Canon for my S230 that had a recall on the CCD connection. The replacement worked fine for the first year but is now showing the same symptoms as the original issue on the S230. The CCD intermittently doesn't work and unfortunately seems to fail when I go on vacation... black screen.
This camera has ruined my vacation to South Korean and Costa Rica. I took a single picture with the camera and then the CCD went out for the entire trip. Have cherished that single photo at the beginning of each trip but wish I could have taken more...
Cons: poor reliability

I'm into photography and as a beginner, I'd say this is a good camera! I really like it because the pictures come out so clear and all the functions it has are sooooo cool!!!!

Cheap Construction

Hello this camera takes great pictures but it is cheaply made. We are on our second one in nine month. First one I dropped on the floor and it has never turned on again. It is too small and made very thin in my opinion. The second one the lens wouldn't open the other day and would you beleive working on it at a desk i dopped it 12 inches and it hit the desk and now ...... it won't turn on !! Made extremely cheap . I know I dropped the camera but electronics shouldn't be made where they break on a 12 inch drop come on now. Ask yourself how you will use it when you buy it. If you have little children stay away they will destroy it first time they touch it

Cons: Complicated controls/menu, Flimsy Construction, cheap construction
