Good idea to stop making this machine! However, I will never buy GE again as the drum hub literally rusted out in 8 years. I was going to try to fix it myself but after reading the reviews I'd better just buy something new NON GE.

I bought this machine 3 years ago and now I have to replace it! I've never seen such a cheaply made product. Have the matching dryer, it's not long for this world either

Awful washing machine

Had problem since day 1. Had them come back to rebalance when spinning. Hot water leaked after 2 years. 6 months later, very noisy bearing during spinning cycle. 1 year later, cold water coming on and offf on fill cycle. I will never purchase GE product anymore.

I purchased it new in 2007. Been a great machine up until the past year. This week the unit wouldnt spin or agitate. Tested it and and replaced the lid switch but it is definately the motor. Overall was a good unit, but its time to replace it after 11 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE for life

Had this model for over 10 years, only recently did we have to change the shaft and tube assembly and the lid switch. Besides that, this machine has given us yeoman service over the years.
I would recommend this to a friend!
