SORRIEST MACHINE I HAVE EVER HAD.....I HAVE TAKEN PHOTOS OF CLOTHES AND THEY ARE DIRTIER THAN THEY WERE BEFORE WASHED....DO NOT BUY!!

Some settings do not clean leaves soap. This is due to the lack of sufficent water in the tub. Having to wash them again just to get the soap out.

Bought first washer 11/10/14, it was deemed unrepairable. It was replaced with the one I have now. This one was worse than the first one. Technicians replaced all the working parts (except for one) it is no better than before. (Check records)

I bought this a month ago and the first one was effective, so they brought us a new one, now this one needs a new part. I have all GE products in my house, but am starting to rethink my decisions.

Bought one week ago, need service on the lid. It is suppose to close easy, but drops.

LOVE THE WASHER BUT NEED HELP WITH SPINNING CYCLE

I love the features of this washer, but like other reviews the spin cycle is so noisy and now makes a squeak sound. I don't run the spin cycle any higher than medium. I only load the washer half way full of clothes and make sure it is level. The washer is so noisy on spin cycle that I can hear it on the second level of my home. I am unable to do laundry while my kids are sleeping. I am really hoping service is able to resolve the problem. I have had the washer for 3 months.

Noisy!!!!

If I had to purchase a new washer again, I WOULD NOT purchase this one. It is so noisy in the spin cycle. The repairman who was here to repair our GE dryer, said there is nothing that can be done with the washer, it is just the way the machine is.

Good Machine with One Exception for Me

And that exception would be the loudness of the spin cycle! It sounds like a motor cycle revving up or an airplane flying overhead! I called the salesperson where I purchased it and he said that is normal for this machine. It spins at such a high speed (I think 1100 rpm?) to get the clothes really dry so they spend less time in the dryer to save electricity. That feature, in fact, does work. The drying time for my clothing is not very long at all. Sometimes under 30 minutes for a full load of mixed clothing items.
I'm getting used to the noise now but it's not a machine I could recommend if you lived in a very small house, a condo or an apartment. I could only imagine what this machine would sound like in a space under 1,000 sq. ft. Yikes. My house is approx. 2,500 sq. ft. and I can hear the spin cycle from every room in the place. So FYI if you don't like noisy machines.
Otherwise, the machine is perfectly fine. All the buttons and options are easy to figure out and I love not having an agitator bar. It cleans clothes well and as previously stated, the clothes come out really dry so my dryer is not used as long.
