I have had the washer less than 3 years I do about 4 loads weekly and it is now making a grinding sound when it washers and when it spins. It also is not cleaning the clothes .... consistently to little water. I wish I could still buy my old maytag atlantis...it lasted 18 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You may hear grinding or clicking noise as your washer’s agitator rotates to clean your laundry. You can find audio examples of normal operating noises here for reference: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23061.
With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Your washer is designed with Precise Fill that senses the cycle and load size and takes the guesswork out of choosing the right water level for optimum cleaning.
