The Worst Washing Machine!!!!

I have always liked GE products in the past, but after buying this machine I will think again about buying a GE. This machine I have had for about 3 years and it leaves white marks on clothing when washed, which you need to re-rinse or wash off by hand ( I have tried multiple different detergents-thinking that was the problem-it wasn't), we have had to replace the drain hose three times due to leaking water on my floor. It also makes my clothing stick- I have cleaned my washer multiple times and it still doesn't matter. I see why they discontinued this model. The only question I have is what are you doing for all the people who had to put up with this terrible machine?

What a great product! I am so glad this washer and the matching dryer are the products I chose when updating my appliances from the old agitator style. I had some concerns when shopping around and reading other reviews about low water levels and detergent not completely rinsing out. But if you follow the instruction manual on detergent type and how/where to put in the detergent and fabric softener, everything works perfectly every time. All our clothes and linens are so much cleaner, fabrics don't get damaged, and it all works perfectly. It spins so rapidly that there is almost no water left in the fabrics. I just can't believe the set works so well! I couldn't be happier with my product choice!

Lots of nice features, seems to wash ok. It's noisy in my opinion, so it's better for a basement wash room (not main living level).

Need ear plugs during spin cycle.......

This model sounds like a freight train going through the house on med. or high spin cycle and the t-shirts come out almost dry but severely crinkled (worse than wrinkled). Have to use low speed spin ONLY to reduce the noise level and save the clothes before they look like wadded up tinfoil. We checked it - it is perfectly level and doesn't appear to have had a stabilizing rod. Any suggestions?

I've already had to have it fixed once and know it's making a very loud and bad sounding noise when on spin cycle.

My wife and I purchased this washer a few months ago and really had high hopes for its performance.
Installation and Hook up was a breeze. However, upon running our first cycle we heard noises which were far from normal. We called a servicing company to perform an inspection and any needed repairs, we found that the Strator, Rotor, Actuator and Sensor all had to be replaced. (This is a brand new washer!) As some of the parts were on back order or not available at the time, we were without a washer in our home for at least a month. With 2 adults and 3 kids 6 and under in our house, laundry piled up quickly. Fortunately, we have family close by that was willing to let us use their washer until all repairs were done.
Close to 1.5 months after purchasing the washer, we were finally able to use it. We were extremely disappointed, however, with how loud it is! Granted, the washer is in our laundry room which is tiled over a concrete slab, the noise could be heard throughout the house! Upon recommendation, I picked up GE Anti Vibration Pads to put beneath the washer. They seem to absorb some of the noise and vibration, but I still feel like the washer is still louder than it should be.
On a positive note, the washer does seem to get the clothes clean. But I do feel like there are areas for improvement and how do you buy a new washer only to have to replace some very important parts?

What a great washer.

I have front loader for years now and wanted a top loader again. Our builder threw in this machine and I love it. Has a lot of great features, easy to use and does a great job. Very quiet too! I love the color too!

Far superior to machine it replaced

This was a warranty replacement machine from a different brand which was no longer available. I'm so glad it wasn't available because this machine performs so much better than the other.
