Awesome Style & Function

I have this lock on my front door. I love it. The Venetian Bronze is outstanding with my Old World Stlye door. It's staying completely new looking as well. I have the matching regular deadbolts on my other doors, and the matching handles as well. I installed everything myself!

I live alone and was looking for a way to secure my home that would make me feel safe. After searching the internet for advice I decide to give this product a try. It was easy to install, easy to key and easy to change the code. It automatically locks if my grandchildren forget to lock it. And beeps if it is not locked correctly. I feel very safe in my home now.

I bought this lock a year ago and had the older style push button and had lots of trouble but decided to go with the new updated version the 909 and it has been great! Holds up in the weather,it's dependable,and it looks great! Installation was not too bad except for the two holes I had from the older version! But overall very good lock and is priced fair!

We've had this for years and love the convenience of never carrying a key. The unit has stopped working without reason twice and customer service was accommodating and quickly replaced it with an updated one. Now, whenever the weather changed drastically, the bolt either doesn't open or close all the way so it makes entry/exit a bit more difficult. My wife often finds herself stuck outside with baby and bags in-hand until she can reset the bolt and enter the code again, hoping that it opens all the way to clear the striker plate. I called and customer service walked me through troubleshooting by resetting the bolt but that has not fixed the issue. Great technology but it's evident that there is a need for minor improvements.

got this to my new house. great having contractors get a temporary code and now for pet sitting services. I never carry a key to the house anymore (I have a garage keycode as well). batteries so far > 1 year without problems. the box was even missing 2 tiny screw and i got them sent to me pro bono! thank you! I'm waiting for the homeconnect and bluetooth lock technology to mature.

This is a great product and can be found for under $100 at home center stores.
It lets you set one or two codes, each from 4 to 8 numbers. Codes are easy to set, so you can use one for your housekeeper or a temporary one for when you are on vacation and need to give it to a neighbor.
A nice feature of this lock is that it can be set to lock itself 30 seconds after it was opened. My kids often leave the house without locking the door (the old deadbolt required them to use a key to do so) and this can do it for them. Even without the setting, locking the door is as easy as pushing a button.
The numbers light up, so you no longer need to fumble for your keys when it's dark and you have no trouble unlocking the door.
If you do want to use a key, a nice feature is the SmartKey system. I replaced an older lock and did not want to get new keys for my whole family. With this lock, you merely put the key in, turn it 1/4 way, push a tool into its slot briefly, and you can remove the key and place a different key in the keyhole. Then you turn the key back and take it out. It took about 5 seconds to set this lock to use my existing key. This feature makes it very easy to set the lock to use a different key to give somebody temporarily. It also makes it easy to set all the doors on your house to the same key, re key all of them in minutes, or key one of them a different way and change it back later.
Installing this was relatively simple. It required the typical steps, plus adding batteries and connecting a wire. Once it was installed, I pushed the battery pack in while pressing a button, and the lock set adjusted itself for my door. There's no need to do anything special to get this lock to work with the left side or the right side of the door.
My old locks were very easy to pick. These have a much higher grade of security. I liked it enough that I am upgrading the locks on some other doors and I'm glad that the SmartKey feature will make it easy.
