[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have 3 of these locks installed for over 3 years. They never fail and Ive only changed the battery once. Easy to install, easy to change the code, easy to install new batteries...
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an Airbnb room we rent so this was perfect for us. It is easy to install and erase entry codes as people come and go. The auto lock feature puts our mind at ease that someone can't forget and leave the house unlocked.

I have had this lock for about a year and half. It is fairly quick to open and close. Overall it is good. My only problem is about once a month the key pad will not unlock the door so I have to use my key. To get the keypad to work I remove the batteries and reinstall them and it starts working again.

Electronic lock mechanism last about 6 months then stopped responding. Went to change batteries and battery casing had melted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed in November. The install was fairly straightforward. The lock worked perfectly until April. When leaving for work one morning, I pressed the lock button. No motor, just a flashing keypad. Locked with a key for the time being. That evening, I replaced the battery. The lock locked and unlocked once, then same thing. Press the lock button and the keypad flashes. Locked the door manually and it unlocked with the keypad successfully. Then it locked, but wouldn't unlock with the keypad. For now I will use it manually and try to find a more reliable alternative.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we just installed the kwikset 909 lock so far it is great, love the idea of no keys, easy in and out, ligeted dial pus button lock, I did notice that the lock is very loud , I did notice this on the display at home depot but thoght maybe the batteries were weak or something so maybe that was why it was so loud , there was another lock that cost less and was very quiet but did not have the same features, this lock is great but is loud !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this product in February of this year and LOVE the convenience of it...when it works. Learned the hard way that this eats batteries fairly quickly. Got locked outside with one of our two dogs with me, the other beyond the door. Now we have a spare key hidden just in case. Initially, we thought it was because we used the deadbolt from our previous lock and we switched it, but it doesn't seem any less energy hungry now. Have had the buttons respond to the first 2 digits of the code and then nothing, on multiple occasions. Have added batteries twice in the last month. I don't think they should go that fast. Maybe we need a different design?
On a separate note, it was easy to install and program. The self-locking feature is nice to give you the added comfort that your door will lock if you forget. (If the door is closed the whole way. If not, it will not be able to lock.) Also, it allowed us to give regular visitors access without needing additional keys. I think we just go in and out too many times per day for the batteries to handle it.
