Very disappointed. Only four years old and the unit quit heating food. My parents still have a microwave from the 1990s that works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Micro Buttons Do Not Work

A few buttons stopped working after four years, and now I can no longer time cook at a desired time (ex. 1 1/2 min., 30 seconds, etc.). I have to quick cook by pressing the 1, 2, 3, etc. and keep an eye on it. Not to mention I cannot change the clock or defrost anymore. And these over the range microwaves are not simple to take out and reinstall, so you're better off having a professional do it. I have had issues with other GE products that came with our new home, and I have replaced them with other manufacturers.
