Detergent drawer

I am very disappointed that the drawer that holds the detergent, bleach, and fabric softener does not empty the water after the wash cycle has completed. I had someone come out and look at it in December and he said there was nothing they could do about it. Some times the sections are completely full. I have to take the drawer completely out to empty all of the water into the sink. I'm getting really sick of doing that to the point that I'm ready to send the washer back and get another one. I have other GE appliances that I love and was surprised with the lack of quality in this washer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for posting your review. I am sorry to hear that the drawer is not emptying completely. Make sure you are not using laundry detergent packets. They should only be added directly to the wash basket following the manufacturer's directions.
Also please review the use and care manual on page 18 on how to remove and clean the dispenser drawer. Residue should be removed once or twice a month.

I love my washing machine and wanted a GE product because they are suppose to be one of the best but I have had issues with my drawer where the detergent goes, it was just filling up with water and I was having to empty it but now it is not emptying the fabric softner at all it is just staying in the compartment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is normal to see water in the fabric softener compartment. This is a result of the siphoning action of the dispenser drawer. Since your fabric softener is no longer being dispensed, first, please be sure to use only liquid fabric softener in the dispenser. If there is a buildup of fabric softener in the drawer, follow our cleaning steps on page 18 in the use and care guide, found in our following link:

Didn’t last

Only lasted 4 years before it broke. Numerous parts to replace to fix. Currently debating whether it’s worth the money to fix or buy used one that will last at least 4 years. Front load option makes it harder to switch loads between washer and dryer without dropping clothes on floor.

Expensive garbage.

I've had nothing, but trouble with the washer,for the last 2 1/2 years. I can only use one setting on the washer no matter what kind of load I'm going to wash.

Broke in 4 years of use. Started to make hard noises. The cycles started to get longer and longer like it went back by itself

No water

I didnt recommend the washer its really bad.
The clothes come out almost dey because dont have almost no water.

Just an OK washer

Wash cycles take forever, there's no way around it. You have to plan your day around the laundry. Quick wash is 35 minutes and clothes just barely clean. Also, no spin cycle. It's a Rinse+spin cycle then you have to press and hold the button for it to go to Spin only. So annoying! No gentle cycle. Only delicates which doesn't spin out all the water. My old washer (which was a GE) had choice of wash and choice of spin (Gently, regular) this machine does not. NO Soak option. You have to pay more but at this price that really should be an option on this machine. Really disappointed in GE. This may sound weird but I used to enjoy doing laundry now I dread it because of this machine. I should have returned it.
