Quality varies depending on machine and delivery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 24-in washer/dryer combination Whirlpool appliance replaces an almost identical Kenmore model which lasted almost 19 years. The dryer still worked fine, but with only one electric outlet and limited space in our condominium stacked machines were not an option. I decided to buy a Whirlpool combo after reading bad reviews of the Kenmore combo. Actually this is my second delivered Whirlpool combo- the first one was delivered with a broken frame, so the left front foot did not support the machine. The seal inside the dryer also had a sharp edge of dried-on glue, and the dryer door was almost impossible to close. This particular machine arrived with a bent panel on the bottom right, but the delivery people assured us that it did not affect the function. Since the seller was willing to adjust the price, we decided to keep it. So far it has worked well- just the dryer door is a bit hard to close. The water temperature is lower than stated on the machine- "hot" is "warm", and "warm" is almost "cold." If you want the water level to rise all the way to the top, you have to put the soil level on "heavy". I like that it is possible to add additional items after the machine has started. The "automatic" setting on the dryer seems to over dry- items are dry long before the cycle ends so I have gone back to using the "timed dry" setting.

I owned a whirlpool Twin thin for 23 years and it performed great,so when I decided it was time toretire it I bought the same one again

Just what we needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As we aged we realized we needed to have a laundry on the first floor of our 2 story home. This unit fits nicely in a closet that was formerly a powder room with a toilet and sink. We had previously remodeled the first floor to include a full bath, so the powder room toilet was no longer necessary. This unit fit with room to spare.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this laundry center and a month now and Ijust love it! It was easy to set up and I love the size. I had read in prier reviews that some did not like the water levels but I think they are perfect. The only wash cycle I do not like is the bulky items (sheets, blankets, jackets etc) setting because the spin cycle is low and it leaves my clothes too wet. So, I just do them in the heavy duty cycle so no big deal. I take care of my disabled adult son so I am doing laundry almost daily and I am very pleased with the job it does for me.
