Blower motor went out after light use

This was installed in my new home in 2017. It worked great for a few years. One day I went to use the exhaust fan it it made terrible noise. The motor had gone out. And of course it’s past warranty. A new motor cost almost as much as a replacement hood. So I’ve lived with out an exhaust fan in my kitchen for years and now my microwave has been on the fritz for a couple of years. Whirlpool used to be gold standard of appliances and now they don’t last very long. Disappointed to say the least.

Fan Too Loud

Fan is extremely loud! And the vent duct is taped to the wall. Can’t wait to replace.

Making noise on low speed

A sore head for tall people

Bought in 2019 in a new home. No repairs during my ownership. Issues: I am 6 foot tall. Hit my head multiple times on the unit. Hard angles and pointed ends. Suggesting the following changes. Change drop from cabinet from 9 inch to 5 inches max. The extension from cabinet is 8 inches change to 4 inch max. Changes corners to rounded. Never use halogen lights. These lights are too hot and can feel the heat beating down on arms. Specifications are suggested for all under cabinet hoods. The hood needs to be out of the way of cooking.
