Worst shaver I’ve ever used!

I used this shaver for the first time on a dry face this week and it missed so much facial hair! I had to go over the same spots on my neck and face three times before finishing. I then tried using it in the shower but it still did a terrible job! I called Braun to try to get my money back but because I waited to use it outside of the 60 purchase window they said there was nothing they could do. Sixty-four dollars down the drain. I’m giving this one away and will end up going back to my Norelco.

Failed just out of warranty

I have been an avid Norelco user but when my last one died about 2 and a half years ago I decided to give Braun a chance. I was intrigued by the wet/dry option and had heard good things about Braun in the past. I never was as satisfied with the shave quality of the Braun as I was my previous Norelco units, but I made my decision and had to stick with it. Well, that was about 2 and a half years ago. last week for no clear reason I was unable to start my Braun. The switch failed. Even though I knew it wasn't fully discharged I put it on charge and after reaching full charge, I could get it to turn on, but shortly afterward it started on its own and would not shut off. I was able to shave that day, and was thinking that if I let it discharge completely and then recharge before use, I could get by with that for a while. No, the next time around I again could not get the switch to activate and am left with a non-operational shaver. I bought another Norelco and am loving it already.

very poor

I have been using the razor for 2-3 months. I try it dry, wet, with gel, with shaving cream, but nothing works. It will not pick up the hairs on my neck and does a poor job on my cheeks. I chose this one after reading all the great reviews. I have previously used Norelco and Remington. This is by far the worst razor I have ever used. I am greatly disappointed.

Poor reliability and service response

I had my Braun 340 for approximately 14 months. It was understandable when I had to replace the foil blade and head, and the wet/dry feature was nice, but about 21/2 months ago, the on/off switch started malfunctioning. The razor, either in the charger or out would come on by itself (wouldn't that have been nice if it had done that in my suitcase when I was flying. They probably would have diverted the flight because of a bomb scare). Finally, it wouldn't come on at all. It is now at a service center where they have quoted me a repair price that is $25.00 more than what I paid for it. No thank you. Back to my Philips/Norelco.

By far, the best shaver I've ever used is the Braun 340 and I have sensitive skin. So smooth and works so good with shave gel or foam.

Doesnt work with Cleaner

This is my 3rd Bruan shaver and its taken me a while to write this review, it shaves well and does what it says it will do, however my issue is it doesnt work with the cleaner and conditioner tool. It only charges in the holder. I tried assorted cables as i have read on a couple of reviews but no luck. Now I have a newish cleaner, box of cleaner fluid and no way to use it. They should make this clear on the products (unless of course one of them is faulty)

The s at the end of 3040 stands for solo model, and it doesn't come with a clean and charge station. The ones that are compatible with a clean and charge station will have a cc at the end of it.
