Not bad at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Braun to review. The Braun Series 3-3040 is a good shaver, for a quick shave or touch up. This did not harm my face at all; there were no reactions to this razor. I found that no matter how hard I tried there were certain spots that it just left hair behind. The shaver does not provide a close consistent shave. I guess it just isn't too good for thick hair. Charging it is easy because I just plug the charger to the bottom of the shaver and it's ready to use a little before an hour. And its water proof you can use it in the shower not plugged in of course. The razor is light and contoured; itâs a good complement for my morning shave routine.

First Braun - Love It!

Outstanding results after my first use and since. Switched from a rotary head type so wasn't sure what to expect. Would definitely recommend.

I picked the razor because of the features, mostly. Then, I liked the performance of the cut, except it was kind slow. I thought about checking to see about replacements before the foils went bad, as I should have, now they have none in stock at ALL in any of the razors. Even if I purchased another razor, I would not be able to get a replacement,

Nice...But Has Some Big Issues

You get a good shave. But the shave head pops off the razor unit several times a month, you have to catch it quick or it hits the floor ending up with damage to the blade area. Having had 5+ Braun shavers over the years, this one has some issues and a major battery flaw. The biggest issue is why would Braun develop a product that cannot be used with the cord. You cannot use this razor if it's plug in, so if it runs out of charge while shaving, you have to wait until it's charged to finish shaving....very poor design and big time customer aggravation. This will keep me from buy another Braun shaver.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The reason this shaver doesn't work while plugged in is because your model is designed as a wet/dry shaver. Having a cord attached even if you aren't showering with it would be unsafe, so we hope you understand. Our Series 3 Shavers that are compatible with corded and cordless shaving include our 3000BT, 300S, 3000S, 3020S, 3030S, 3050CC, 3060S, 3070CC, and 3090CC. All of these models can be used with dry shaving only. Excellent shave

Used a rotary shaver for at least 30 years. When it came time for a replacement I debated over the rotary or the Braun. Stuck with the rotary and that was 1½ years ago. I never got a close shave with it. I replaced it with the Braun 3 a little over a month ago and what a difference. Even the next morning my face is smoother than it was right after a shave with the rotary. Easy to clean, no muss, no fuss, only a really good shave.
