Didn't last long

I bought this printer a couple of years ago to replace a non-WiFi HP printer and now I have to purchase another one as the ink will not appear on paper. Cleaned the printer head according to maintenance directions & took it out and cleaned it -- nothing. I don't think I even printed 500 pages on it, as it is used seasonally. I even bought new ink cartridges thinking it was that. What a waste of money! Doesn't even have a feeder tray. First and last Canon printer for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Functions OK but some issues

Printed pages fall on floor even if output tray fulled extended.
There is no automatic feed so multi-page scanning or copying is tedious.

Another one dead due to bad power supply.

Once again my canon printer had failed due to the power supply. Why not fix the continuing issue Canon? Then you change the ink cartridge on the new printers so I can't even use the ones I have. That's it, no more Canon.

Very Good Printer

Purchased this printer after years of using other makes of printers. What sold me was the easy wireless connections with my other computers.
After a few minutes my wife's computer was online, as well as another seldom used computer. Easy as pie.
The first color print was very good. Had several other people look at it and they agreed.

Very Disappointed

I purchased this printer because I also have a Canon MP560 which I've been very happy with and I needed a second printer for my wife's home office.
I wound up returning this printer for the following reasons:
1. It's annoyingly, loudly noisy and goes through what seems like an endless number of machinations before starting to print.
2. It's very slow to start printing. Maybe a full minute during which time the display says "Please Wait Momentarily". Does that mean start to wait in a moment? It didn't matter if if was connected wirelessly or with a usb cable....if fact wireless was a bit faster.
I wound up returning this printer for the following reasons:

Design features I just didn't like: You can't close the paper tray with paper inside, it has to poke out, unlike my MP560 which actually has a smaller footprint....and it's not a very attractive item, just all black low quality plastic.
You would think that a new printer would be at least as good as a similar one from the same mfg. that is several years old but this is a big step backwards.
The only positive thing I can say is that the print quality was good when it finally printed.

A great buy!

I am more than pleased with our new MG6620 printer. It's speedy, reliable, and delivers a good quality print. I'm still getting used to all the features but am gently surprised by its performance.
