Easy set up

Set up with a mac system took about 1 hour including desktop, ipad and iphone. There were no complications other than having to download an app to install on IOS system. This machine replaced another Canon that died after 4 years. I was hesitant to stick with Canon, primarily due to fast ink usage. In the end I stayed loyal because of phone Tech Support. I have called 5-6 times and never been disappointed. They are courteous, friendly and helpful, and easy to understand. I just did not want to lose that connection going with another company. Still too new to rate efficiency, my 5-star ratingis based on ease of setup and the attitude of tech support. All test printings from all 3 machines were good and hopefully that plus the setup ease is a good sign for the future.

It's just a printer, but it's a Canon!

This printer was moderately easy to set up.
So far the printing quality has been satisfactory.
This printer has a lot more features than I need.
The printer is noisy; it likes to do a lot of "ka-chunck, ka-chunk, whirrrrr" on its own, either prior to a job or after.
Firmware updates done in the printer itself...nice.

Terrible Product

One of the worst printers I have ever experienced. A few of the faults:
- Extremely slow printing time. It took me 30 minutes to print 12 pages. Because the printer kept starting and stopping, I had to sit here and monitor the print job.
- Color cartridges empty out constantly. Basically, there are 5 colors. If one runs out, it's difficult to print anything even in black & white.
- Incomplete jobs. I tried to print a 12 page document. It simply stopped at 10 pages without explanation.

Ultimately, I was able to print my document, but with a lot of hassle and oversight. This printer technically "works" but just requires a lot of tinkering and adjusting and monitoring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great purchase

I purchased this on the recommendation of the sales person and wasn't sure about it. However, now that I have had it for a few weeks I find it was a great purchase. The features that I like best and use most are two-sided printing and picture printing. This will save money. Also, it is very user friendly.

This is one of the best little printers I've ever had...it's a small footprint, does an excellent of printing/scanning/copying, and so far it's been quite quiet too

Easy set-up, great quality

Read a number of reviews before purchasing and I saw a number of comments related to the complexity of set-up. I could not disagree more. Set-up was step by step and simple. In 20 minutes, I set it up on a Mac, a PC, and printed from my iPhone.
Could not be happier with the wireless capabilities and the quality of the print. Great value.
We ran through the main black cartridge pretty quick, but my wife is an English teacher and likes to print a lot. Could have something to do with it.

Beautiful Pictures

Having had a Canon MP610 before I knew how good printing of pictures was with a color setting dpi of up to 9600 x 2400 and this printer delivers very well. The speed is very good also.As a con, it does take a while for it to get to the printing stage once turned on. The scanner works very well.
All in all this is a good lower priced printer for the home.

Fantastic machine

Bought to use while traveling in our RV. Opened and set up easily. Performed flawlessly, prints wireless from android devices and does it well. If it performs this well in the long run, it will be money well spent. I recommend it.
