Simple Enough

Setup was simple enough. Walks you all though it. Always used another brand for printers but have gotten cheap and don't last long. Checked out the Canon and was very pleased how much better it was built. All these years owning a Canon camera I should know how good their products are made.

Great Printer

I am not one to write reviews but after reading some of the low comments I felt obligated to. I have had this printer for over a year and it's very good. I have yet to print pictures but use it for school and craft projects and it does just fine. Yes the speed could be faster but reminder this is a home printer not an office printer. I print wireless all the time with out a problem. Easy set up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only had for a couple of weeks but is working fine. It runs cardstock which was my main concern. It is a little noisy.

Couple steps backwards

This printer works well, both in printing and scanning. But it's just not as convenient to use as my 8-year old Canon, which would no longer accept my third-party, refill-at-home ink.
So I bought this printer for just a little more than a set of new cartridges would have cost.
My former printer could feed from above or from a cartridge, meaning I could leave photo paper in the cartridge, and feed most any size paper in from the top, no problem. The new one must have the cartridge adjusted for each different size of paper, and the options changed at the display. Very inconvenient. I selected this printer mostly because it would fit into the slide-out compartment in my desk. Othere new Canons would not fit.

Worst Printer ever

Doesn't always recognize that paper is in the tray. At least once a day have to reinsert paper tray so that it is recognized. Very poor scan quality. Paper jams

Piece of crud

Biggest piece of crud I've ever found in a printer. I see others reporting the same exact problem. Keeps saying that there is no paper no matter how full the paper tray is. For a while I was having to feed it one piece of paper at a time manually. Now it will take that one piece of paper take it half way and then still say there is no paper detected. Either that or it will paper jam more than any other printer I've ever seen. Not only will I say to never buy this printer, but I will never buy another canon product in my life if they are willing to put out something that is this big of a piece of crud. Don't have the money for a new printer now, so I am now stuck without a printer and a very expensive paper weight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my wireless printer now for over a year. I really like it, it does a great! job on printing, then only thing I wish it didn't clean so long and often because that uses up the ink more than necessary.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Printer

I bought this printer many many years ago, back when the 6620 first came out. The only things I have had to do is change out the ink and add paper. Occassionally I would run the maintenance program to clea the heads and jets but that is all.I have been a Canon customer for about the last 25years.
I would recommend this to a friend!
