Poor layout, doesn't dry

Our last dishwasher was a Frigidaire Gallery and it was great. Bought the Professional model when we moved and it is very disappointing: it doesn't dry properly, even with heated dry and rinse aid; it is physically narrower than any other dishwasher we've owned and cannot hold nearly as many dishes as other models (the diagrams of place settings are pure fiction); the racks seem flimsy and don't move smoothly; it doesn't show time left on the display and the control panel is a nuisance (it is impossible to wipe it without activating buttons and changing settings, sometimes it even starts unexpectedly). The worst feature is the layout of the bottom rack: the lack of slope of the pins don't allow deeper plates or bowls to be placed in the front row and the pins are too close to the edge for large plates to be placed there either - they roll towards the middle. Cereal bowls need to be placed in the back row but the pins still don't slope enough to hold them properly and they have to be spaced apart to stop them touching. I have given away one set of deep plates and a set of coffee mugs as they just didn't fit in this dishwasher. On a positive note: it does wash well and is quiet.

My first Frigidaire Product..

Dishwasher worked fine until the drain pump got stuck on all the time. Now the dishwasher has to stay unplugged and is useless. What do you do when the repair will cost as much as a new one?

VERY BAD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worst Washing machine i ever had, i just change home and went to buy this one and i wish i would it, im a Frigidaire fan, but this one is very bad, not good drying, always reset when is power plus, the wishes finish still with soap, i wish i knew it before, i was very happy with 2485 model, that one is very good

Less than 2 year!

I bought this dishwasher 12-20-15 & it was installed in January 2016. It will not work! The control panel has been funky at best, but now it says "Loc" & none of the controls work. I am disgusted!

Yikes! Jo Ann Carol, it may be that you have engaged the child lock feature. To unlock the controls, press the AIR DRY pad until “loc” is no longer displayed in the status window. You will find more information on the child lock on page number 6 in your Owner’s Manual. Run Away

I bought the "professional series" dishwasher over a year ago. What a mistake! If you don't have an advanced degree in Mathematics stay very far away. Still can't figure how to get the dishes dry. The controls are on the top of the door but changing wash type is a waste of time as this thing seems to only work on the long cycle. Directions are confusing and mention nothing on how to get the dishes dry. Has a very bad odor inside after washes. Would not recommend nor would I ever thing to buy a Frigidaire product ever again. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it is very quiet.

Oh my! John Stad, the incoming water temperature should be at least 120°F for efficient cleaning and drying. Before starting a cycle, please run the water in the sink until it is hot, to clear cool water from the pipes. Make sure you are using rinse aid, you can even increase the amount dispensed to help with drying (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual has the instructions). Some plastics may need to be towel dried as they don’t get as hot as metal or glass, so more water collects. If you are on a well or have a reverse osmosis system, your home water pressure may be too low. For optimum performance, water pressure should be 20 to 120 PSI (pounds per square inch). To help with smells, please consult page 16 in your Owner’s Manual for instructions on cleaning the filters. Electronically speaking the worst dishwasher ever

The controls rarely work, starting, pausing, cancelling good luck. Seems to constantly get stuck in a state, without error codes and the only way to reset it is by turning off the jumper at the control panel. Push cancel or any buttons has no effect and it just sits and chimes.
