Beautiful Design With Some Flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to match the Frigidaire professional series oven and microwave I have in my kitchen. In order to clean thoroughly it requires your hot water temperature to be set to a minimum of 120 degrees. I have small children and am not comfortable with such a minimum hot temperature of water in my household. I've always kept my water setting lower than 120 degrees. It seems the hotter the water the better the dishes clean and dry as well. The unit does not normally heat the water to a very hot temperature since it is a green energy saving appliance anticipating the water coming into the dishwasher is very hot. There is a setting (sanitize & high wash temp) that allows for a hotter wash but the downside is it takes over 3 hours to complete. With a lower temperature setting when you do a quick 30 minute wash the water does not dry on the dishes that were just washed.

Factory damage and tedious repair process

I bought this as part of a package - all Frigidaire appliances, and every item except the microwave had problems, still not repaired as of this writing. The dishwasher door, handle and interior panel all had to be replaced. And don't get me started on the double oven....

Ok not great

Disappointed

We are very disappointed with its performance, it leaves dishes dirty as well as soap residue all over the dishes. We are using the soap the brand recommends with no luck, we've adjusted machine pressure and had a technician come look at it. He recommended we run our sink water hot before starting a load. Still same results, I've come to the conclusion it's just a poorly designed machine. We are currently trying to return this product

Hey Jenni29, most drying challenges are related to water temperature. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-130 degrees for the best drying potential. To help get the hottest water to your dishwasher, let the water run in your sink until it’s hot (like you do before getting in the shower). This "primes the pump", it gets hotter water to your dishwasher faster. Your dishwasher uses about 3-4 gallons per cycle, limiting the opportunity the water has to warm up if it doesn’t start off hot enough. Horrible experience

Touch screen doesn't respond to user inputs and often gets stuck in a specific setting. User experience is beyond frustrating - machine is utterly useless because it won't start or cancel when commanded. No fixable option other than cutting power entirely to the machine, hoping it resets. Horrible dishwasher that is over engineered. Extremely unreliable, would not recommend this piece of equipment to anyone under any circumstance. Waste of space.

Dish washer

We bought a house and the dishwasher was installed. The buttons are hard to press, you don't know which have been pressed and the dishwasher doesn't wash well at all. It leaves a nasty smell on all the dishes and it never completely dries the dishes and little bits of food are always left on the dishes. Your better off washing by hand because of the smell it leaves behind.

To improve drying and cleaning performance, please make sure your hot water heater is set to at least 120 degrees, you are running the hot water in a nearby sink prior to starting the dishwasher, you are using plenty of rinse aid, and you are loading the dishwasher per the instructions in the manual. Check the filter area for any debris. Make sure your drain hose is installed at least 32" above the floor.
