Does not clean well dry

We have been using dishwasher for last 4 months. I have tried different cycles, increased hot water pressure, use of rinse aid and the dishes are still not cleaned to my satisfaction. Sometimes water collects in the filter area. The heat dry function does not dry well. Is there suppose to be a heating element? I had a technician come out once . I guess it's time for another service call.

Hey Auburnmom2016, thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I understand that you feel that the dishwasher is not drying the dishes properly. I would recommend checking a few things before a new service provider is scheduled. Check and make sure the water coming in is at least 120 degrees, do you have heat dry cycle selected, and are you using rinse aid? I realize that as a consumer you feel that these are not reasons for your dishwasher to under-perform. Over the last few years Energy Star has issued stricter standards for water and energy usage which can increases the need for Rinse Aid to dry dishes. Hope this helps! Kindly,

Looks Nice

This is a great dishwasher - love the idea of no fingerprints - I purchased matching stove and microwave last year (very happy with them). I have one problem with the dishwasher. My dishes are stoneware and they are thick. They do not really fit too well in this dishwasher. Take a dish with you when you buy!

I bought this for my new construction home and have had it for 2 weeks. Put jet dry rinse aid in it before the first use. I have trouble shot it more than 7+ times and it will not dry dishes no matter which cycle you try. Water temp is @ 120 degrees, and have repair guy coming out to check it out in a couple days. From what I've read I'm not the only one whose had this issue. We'll see what he says, but I already know in my gut its not a repair issue.

difficult to load

this dishwasher was installed in the new construction home we purchased (I did not choose the dishwasher) and I really want to know if there are other bottom racks that would fit it. The lower rack is terrible for loading anything really. I definitely would not recommend this model.

Hey Shellie70, appreciate your input on your dishwasher and the difficulties you are having with loading the bottom rack. The fold-down tines in the lower and upper rack make it easy to load those extra-large and hard to fit items. The tines may be left up for normal use or folded down for more flexible loading. Noisy

Installed in new home three years ago, ran quietly to begin with but now continues to get noisier. It does clean well.

Thanks for sharing your feedback Tooloud. I recommend checking the filter to make sure that it’s not warped or bent so that the food particles are unable to get into the sump. This also could possibly be causing the unfavorable noise during the wash cycle. I hope this information is helpful. Quiet, great looking, holds a lot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my new dishwasher for a few months now. I remodeled my kitchen and bought all Frigidaire products. This dishwasher looks beautiful! I love how quiet it is, and the features are outstanding. I can load all of my glasses and dishes into this washer, so only need to wash my dishes once or twice a week! Would not have anything else, extremely pleased with my purchase!

Terrible dishwasher - poor cleaning, hard to load

I've never had a dishwasher that performs so poorly at the basic task of cleaning dishes -- many items need to be washed again after a two hour cycle. Also, the layout makes it very hard to load dishes with any rim height. It's hard to believe how bad this machine works. It does look great though.

Disappointed owner, thank you for taking the time to share your dishwasher review. I am sorry to hear about your experience with cleaning, and loading the dishwasher. There are many conditions that can impact cleaning, the most common being temperature. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-125 degrees (at the water heater) for the best cleaning and drying potential. Make sure you run the water in the sink until it is hot (like you do before getting in the shower). Don’t forget to use rinse aid (it really helps!), and clean the filters regularly (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual). Is the heater (inside on the bottom of the dishwasher) covered by a heavy mineral or calcium scale (looks like white spots on the heater)? If it is, start the hottest cycle with no dishes in it. Once it has finished the initial fill, add 1 cup of white vinegar to the bottom and let it finish the cycle. For your loading challenge, page 8-11 of your Owner’s Manual shows some standard loading patterns. If you have any questions, please reconnect with us directly for assistance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought four Frigidaire appliances. They were installed in mid-September. So far, 3 of them have broken. I have been without a dishwasher and a microwave for well over a month. After failed repairs, Frigidaire is replacing them. Better luck this time around, I hope! If only the product were as good as the customer service!
