Nice product for a fair price

I needed a phone with large enough display I can read it with normal glasses on. 5.7" is big enough, it is very clear, great contrast, but not so readable in bright sunlight. Mine came with Windows Phone 8.1 Denim, the best most feature rich version I have used on any phone yet. It is fast, decent graphics and image editing tools. It comes with Outlook, works great synching with my other Windows systems and email. It also has its own Office, so I can carry my files around, my health logs for me and my cats to our office visits. The cameras are adequate, though how its Main Camera images at 4208 x 2368 = 9,964,544 translates to the advertised 13 megapixels totally eludes me. It has an LED Flash on the main camera. The images are fine for a personal use phone camera. The Front 5 megapixel camera is OK for a well illuminated scene, and selfies. Lumia Camera is a good general purpose program for use of these cameras. All in all, the many features and apps to access and control them create a well rounded mid priced product. It pleases me to use this device almost constantly in my everday needs.

640XL is an excellent phone

I've been a Windows Phone fan since Windows 6 and have thoroughly impressed with each new release. The larger screen size is incredible and the battery life is excellent. The app shortage is still a problem but I'm confident that things will turn around once app developers build up for W10 and Windows phone OSs are upgraded to W10. Lastly, the camera is not quite what I had in my Nokia 1020 but it's great for a camera phone.

Good Phone - Great Price!

I purchased this phone for my wife who wanted to get a bigger phone to replace her Lumia 820. Initially she was shocked with the size. However, she quickly adjusted and now she can't put the phone down! This phone is fantastic for the price. Hands down! The Mrs. loves both the front and rear cameras. The one gripe she has is with the placement of the speaker. With the speaker on the back, when the phone is lying face up, the volume is muffled. Other than that, she gives the phone two thumbs up.

Perfect Phone.. suits all my requirement, more than what i expected. Perfectly spend money. The reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because cortana does not work here.

Best mid-range phone...

... with a Premium feel. Coming from Samsung Ativ S. My new Lumia 640 XL is all I want for my personal and work use. And it wont hurt your wallet.
In general windows phone with office and notes is the best thing to have on your hand. That can be synchronized with my Windows tablet/Laptop and Desktop. Information that follows me where ever I go.

This is my third Windows phone - a 1520, HTC M8 and now the 640 XL. Each time these phone have improved. It's like having a tablet in your hand. I love having the HDSD card slot. I have a 128 GB card in mine. The function on this phone is so easy. I would never go back to Apple. They are over priced and I just hate iTunes. Keep up the good work!
