Better sound.

I experienced the same frustration with the system going off after we had the system about 6 months. The TV comes on but the Bose sound system doesn't come on. It is very frustrating to disconnect the power cord each time we watch TV.

We have some concerns about the issue you've described in your review. While all electronics that run on software need to be reset by unplugging them, it appears that you are experiencing this with regularity beyond the norm. Once or twice a year, at most, would be considered normal. For a suggestion, you'd want to unplug this system for a full five minutes to reset it. Losing sound every time it powers up.

I purchased my Solo 15 about nine months ago and loved it. About a month ago the sound stopped coming on when my system (TV, DVR, BLU RAY, APPLE TV, etc.) powered up. At first it was occasionally now it does it every time. The only way to fix it is to unplug the Bose re plug and then turn it on separately. Not satisfactory and it seems a common problem after finding numerous posts on the net. Worst Bose product I've owned and I've been a loyal customer going back to the 70's.

To allow your system to reset fully, please disconnect the power cord and allow it to remain without power for at least 5 minutes. If after doing so the issue persists, please contact our technical service team at 800-380-4831. Support hours are Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST.

Had to reboot at least 5 times a week

So disappointed in the solo 15 ours would not turn on we had to unplug it and plug it back in . I called Bose and the sent a replacement and it did the same thing . We also did an update using a Zip drive that still didn't help. I gave up and returned the unit. Our solo we bought 2 years ago works great. Solo 15 not so much.

not as expected

I purchased because of our setup I liked the one speaker because of small footprint. Easy set up, and nice bass tones but overall is hard to hear speech patterns -in other words the range is lacking. I will probably resell and try the surround system. Although now I may not go with the Bose brand, kind of disappointed, especially for the money spent.

Not what I expected

Just bought the ((Bose Solo 15)) today ..and I'm already having doubts and disappointments ..the sound quality isn't the best ...being bose in all ya it's got some good clear sound but lacks the options for more bass /equalizer options..it's just a brand that's overhyped ..Samsung or Sony is they way to go for surround sound..and Klipche is a,very good brand ..sorry bose ur a disappointment ..very disappointed ...Good thing I have a 14 day trial period to take it back cause its goin back for sure.

This is our third unit and the Remote doesn't work past 10 feet. Can't use the sattelite remote to control the unit either.
Very disappointed and a further indication of Bose's continued march towards poor quality.
Bose will not be a future consideration when we choose our audio solutions.

Stopage of sound

We received our Solo at Christmas 2014 as a gift from son. Easy hookup with TV. By June I commented that I didn't hear much or any difference between TV volume and Solo. After seven months, wife said its sound went off while TV was on. We bought new battery but still no sound. I was ready to call tech support when I read earlier comment listed here about unplugging and waiting 20 minutes. Waited a little more, plugged it in and it came on with great volume. Thanks to the reviewer. We have Bose radio, too, but very surprised by problem with Solo.
