won't turn on

This speaker system has problem when trying to turn it on. At lest once almost every day this unit will not turn on. I have to go behind it and unplug it, then plug it back in, wait for the tone then I am able to turn it on. This is a pain in the butt,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the frustration you are having with the Solo system. While it is normal to occasionally unplug a product that runs on software, daily resets of the system is very unusual. We'd like to help with this.
One suggestion we have is ensuring the system is being unplugged for a full five minutes. That will fully reset your Solo system and usually stops the issue from reoccurring.

Have to reset every time it is turned off

Love the sound, however have to unplug and reset every time it is turned off, rather annoying. Unless I can find a solution I will be returning the unit to the store.

The issue you are describing with the need to reset the system is concerning for us as well. We have some troubleshooting steps that we'd like to suggest. One is that, when resetting the system, we'd like to ensure that the system is being unplugged for a full five minutes.
Second, there is a software update for this system that we would recommend running as well. Here is a link to the update:

Two years and counting of great sound.

We have had this sound system for two years. It provides the same great sound as it did day one. I have it in the bedroom to use with the smaller flat screen . One can turn it quite low and still have perfect clear sound that won't bother your mate; or turn it up and say "Wake up; I am ready to dance!" ;)

Same Issue: Bose system won't always turn on....

I've had my system for about 8 months and about 3 months ago I started having the same issue; turning on my tv, dvr, etc but the bose not turning on the sound. Yes I have unplugged it, but it is a pain, as it disrupts my taping programs. How can we fix this...I spent good money for this system...that is basically my only issue with it.

Great sound

I have had the Bose Solo over 9 months now and it sounds great. Have never had to reset. Has very good sound highs and lows. Works great with Amazon music or you tube videos. Great sound with NFL and MLB

Great sound quality and clarity

I tried a different system prior to getting the Solo 15 partly because of some of the reviews I read and the fact my store was out of them the day I was there. I took it back and bought the Solo 15 and glad I did.
The only thing the Solo 15 needs is some more bass where it maxes out should be where the bass starts or the half way point but not the max. This will not be a reason for a return though.
I have had no need to unplug my system at all, the universal remote works great with my Vizio 4k TV. I can turn on the Bose Solo and I pretty much dont have to touch it again until I turn it off. I was tired of always turning up the volume to hear talking then turning it down when there was action it was frustrating with the Bose there is none of that and the clarity is amazing I am hearing things in movies and video games that I never heard before it is awesome!!
I recommend this to anyone that wants great sound and doesn't need the floor shaking bass.

Awesome sound

I was looking for an entertainment system , simple to hook up. Because of the limitations of space and living in an apartment where you can't have a system that will bug the neighbors, this system was perfect. Plus I have a bias towards Bose speakers since the late 70's. Love the lower tones which mixes well highs and mid ranges.

Bose Solo 15 Review

I bought the system just 10-days ago and am, so far, fairly satisfied. The sound is good, except for the base. I need more base and am looking for a Bose or other brand of stand alone "bluetooth" woofer with it's own volume control. The Bose is like any other PC; it needs to be rebooted once in awhile; my Sony TV is the same..I've had to unplug & replug it twice in the last week.
