We purchase the GE Profile smart dispense II QP47 dishwasher years ago to replace our noisy builder supplied whirlpool dishwasher. The only two positive things I can say is it runs quietly and I love the delayed start feature. The dishwasher doesn't do a great job of cleaning the dishes. I rinse the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher, but still it can't seem to remove the light film of grease from a bowl or the canola oil residue from a measuring cup on the top shelf. Pretty much I can't wait to get rid of it. We've used the same brand and type of dish detergent in the smart dispenser from day one, but the smart dispenser stopped working sometime around the 2nd year we owned it. Now I just measure it into the outer cup. What a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

rubber or plastic burning small coming from it

We have been happy with the dishwasher until last week, when a strong rubber or plastic burning smell came from it while it was running. We stopped it, unplug and turned it on again after several hours. The same burning smell came out again and we completely stopped using it. The smell is very intense and we can smell it from upstairs. It smells like someone has put a piece of rubber or plastics into a open fire. The visible heating element looks OK and no food particles on it. Most likely it is the hidden electrical wire inside it has caught fire. We are thinking about repair or replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Also, if you haven't already done so, try shutting off the circuit breaker that powers your appliance. Leave it off for a minute or two before restoring power. This will often reset the internal circuitry. In some installations, there may also be a kitchen wall switch that must be turned on to power the dishwasher.

The dishwasher is the worst!

This dishwasher, the QuietPower 7 does NOT wash dishes. It doesn't clean anything.
Plates, bowls, cups - almost nothing gets fully cleaned. 50/50 chance I have to hand wash an item after a cycle runs. It's really bad.
Also, it doesn't fully drain? Must be broken.
Truly awful.
