Run, don't walk, from this dishwasher.

I have suffered with this dishwasher for about three years. The first 6 months, it was great. But, eventually the rotating spray arms get clogged and the ridiculous design does not allow for easy cleaning. I have to use a toothpick and pick at the tiny holes to try to clear them. I've used an air compressor, wire, water, toothpicks. Eventually, I can clean it out but then I need to do the same thing a month later even though I do rinse the dishes. One missed melon seed can be a nightmare. How this stuff gets past the so-called filter, I do not know.
The dishwasher is attractive, easy to load, and extremely quiet. But it does NOT clean the dishes. I have to pre-wash coffee out of the cups or it will be there when I unload the dishes. My dishes often taste like dishwasher soap because the water does not circulate well enough to rinse it off.
I have finally had enough. I am going to replace this over-priced dish drying rack with something that actually washes dishes. I hope my review helps others from dealing with this frustration.

Control Board Keeps Going Out

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this model for 6 years. We bought it new when we bought GE appliances for our new home. We have replaced the control board in the dishwasher 4 times in 6 years. It just went out again. I do not recoomend this product because of the placement of the controls. They are located on top of the door (hidden). It seems the steam or moisture causes the control board to fail often. It would seem that GE would recognize this and either correct the problem or replace the dishwasher...it's a dud!

Worst dishwasher ever!

It doesn't wash your dishes and the top rack keeps breaking. It is the worst dishwasher we ever owned!

Auto dipenser clogs

We have had so much trouble with the auto dispenser clogging even though we use the same brand of soap all the time. Would never purchase this again with this feature. It's not worth the trouble.

A dishwasher that doesn't wash dishes

A completely ineffective appliance even when using recommended detergent and rinse aid. It literally does not wash dishes; nothing more to say about it.

Very quiet but poor cleaning

This beautiful dishwasher is extremly quiet, but does NOT get the dishes clean. There is never a load where every piece is clean even if I only fill it half full. The smart dispense feature is nice, but the gasket leaked after 3 years. So had to replace the dispensing motor. Looks good, but a disappointment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is sleek, whisper-quiet, and has every bell and whistle one can imagine. BUT, it simply does not get dishes and glasses clean. In every load, there are multiple pieces that are spotted or not clean -- even with hand pre-rinsing. For a unit at this price point, that is simply UNACCEPTABLE.

I might as well just hand wash all my dishes because that is what I have to do before I put them in the dishwasher and I often have to do that after I have run a cycle. It is quiet and it is very good looking. We want to change our detergent but that is a huge ordeal. We are going to give it a try though just because we are desperate to try everything possible to give this machine a chance to do its job.
