This stinks!!!!

I bought a house with this model and it doesn't clean any dishes clean no matter what type of detergent you use. I have tried many types and think I should just invest in another product that actually works. If I want to get my dishes clean I have to wash them by hand.

Food particles get stuck in the spray arms and you cannot get it out. Therefore it will not clean.

Indoor Swimming Pool?

I have had this dishwasher for some time, and I bought the extended warranty, thank goodness. Twice it has flooded my kitchen, three times had the pump replaced, twice had the control strip replaced and a door replaced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love SmartDispense!

I've had this unit for 10 years. Had to replace a couple of items over time but it has been a great unit. The inner door seal has a lifetime warranty. Once replaced, along with a new dispenser motor, leaks around the door stopped. I know I'll have to replace this unit at some point but units with SmartDispense are no longer available. Is there any chance GE will be bring that feature back?? Or, is there old stock available with SmartDispense?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its 13 years old and makes grinding noises when running. The plate rack is poorly designed causing the plates to fall forward on each other.

need help

we are using this dishwasher (Dishwasher Model# PDWT380R10SS /Serial ZT752012B) that came with the house we have just bought. After we washed by hand dishes and left inside the dishwasher and then door closed, then next time we opened the door, some of plastic made dishes were melted. It seems some how the appliance get in to heated dry mode by self and overheat. can anyone from ge help?
