This printer gives you the best quality at a budget investment. Easy to use from your very first print . Setup was a snap, as the printer sets itself up. You just go along and give it, what the instructions ask for. Sorry, I didn't purchase it sooner.
Pros: High Quality Output, Low Running Cost, Good Media Handling, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable
Cons: Large Footprint

Grandma's 2008 Christmas Gift

My wife is a dedicated, one might say over the edge, crafter and scrapbooker. She was never happy with my printers and wanted one that could do a 12" wide page and excel at photographs.
I did my research and purchased the Pro9000 for her. She has been using it for a year and has gone through quite a few ink cartridges already. Her overall opinion: she LOVES it. The photo quality is excellent, and the ability to print large format pages is a major benefit. I have not heard one complaint, and this from a very picky woman. My thoughts are that it is very well built and will last a long time.
Pros: High Quality Output, High Productivity, Good Media Handling, durable, easy to use, reliable

Not worth Price

For the price not the best printer ever. I 've owned for several months and I'm constantly having issues with the print. Paper jams are too common and the print quality isn't as crisp as expected. Not to mention ink runs out after only a few short prints. Would not purchase again.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: High Running Cost, unreliable

Great Quality

To begin, I must say that the quality of the prints this product creates is simply some of the best out there. Although I am only 16 I have had the printer for nearly one year now. The only downfall is the use of ink. I print all of my posters from either Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign. The only problem I have experienced is that huge consumption of ink. Working part time after school is not helping me because the ink cartridges seem to run out every weekend. Other than that I think that this is a great product, and the precision is great.
Pros: High Quality Output, Good Media Handling, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable
Cons: High Running Cost

Printer Drivers/Software

I love the printer, doing 13x19 for 20x26 frames and they are awesome. However, when I wanted to print sizes not included in the Canon driver software it was frustrating. I finally tried Lightroom2 and it works perfectly. If you have printing problems, try a demo, you can size the picture exactly the way you want in Lightroom2. Now that I use them together, the work flow is a snap.
Pros: High Quality Output, reliable
Cons: need outside software to print sizes not included

Produces excellent prints on canon paper. Was not as impressed with other papers but being able to select the type of canon paper seems to make a big difference. Seems to use a lot of ink but have not calculated this yet. Large footprint but well built and solid - something you would expect for a large print size quality printer. Software is easy to work with. Would have liked to have a printed manual. I am getting better prints than when I was using my own color darkroom.
Pros: High Quality Output, High Productivity, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable

This is a good solid printer. The directions included are well written so that people not very knowledgeable with computers can set it up. The progams in the printer are easy to use making it a pleasure to use without readind a book . Only fault is small ink cartridges.
Pros: High Quality Output, High Productivity, Good Media Handling, Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: High Running Cost

I read the reviews on the 9000 as well as the 9500 and decided to go with the 9000. I cannot believe the quality of the prints coming out of this machine!! Superb. Very professional quality.
The installation and set up of this printer was very easy even with my Vista 64 bit OS. I have had a rough time with other types of products due to the 64 bit OS but not with the Canon 9000. Works like a charm.
I higly recommend this unit/model to anyone who appreciates good quality prints. Especially right at your own fingertips and control.
Pros: High Quality Output, High Productivity, Low Running Cost, Good Media Handling, Small Footprint, durable, Easy Setup, easy to use, reliable, compatable with vista 64 bit os
