This is a great camera I was use it for my personal and for my job. I have purchased serveral point and shoot cameras in the past, This camera has been the best purchase I ever made. So you can't go wrong with buying this camera.
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, good battery life

My Favorite Camera

I love this camera i first used it in yearbook class and it was just incredible
1.quality is amazing
2.its affordable and an slr
3.speed is great
4.durable(been dropped alot)
5.LCD is bigger than an other camera ive used
6.its easy to use(didnt read book and just figured it out)

This is my first SLR, but have always been into photography...got the eye. I wanted something more and purchased the XTi. I love it!! I have since sold photos taken with the Canon XTi. The speed is as fast or slow that you would like. Battery life is super great. You can take 1,000's of pictures and still have battery life. It is easy to operate. There are basic modes and modes for the more experienced. Of course, you need to research how and when to use the manual modes, which I recommend to any amatuer. I'm not thrilled with the stock lense it comes with, the glass is not too great or sharp. Fast start up, flip the switch and shoot. The back lit screen allow for proper settings and has a sensor, turning the screen off when your face is close to the screen. The camera is solid and well built. This camera does not have a stablizer in it, but still it's a great camera and for the price you can beat it. I would recommend this to anyone who is into photography and wants to expand their horizons.

Best camera we've ever owned

We bought our Canon EOS Rebel XTi last January and it is hands down the best camera we've ever had. The picture quailty is unbelievable and it's very durable and easy to handle. I am planning on purchasing more lenses in the future, but the lens that it came with has been great (the 18/55). I can't think of anything that I would change. I know some people thought it was difficult to handle, but I'm a small woman and I have no problems with the shutter button placement at all. I would definitely buy this camera again and again!

This camera is so good I started my own sports photography business and its booming! With this camera combined with a 400mm is zoom it is a great tool for shooting sports and outdoor shots

UPGRADE TO OLD REBEL

All i can say that this camera you have to know how to use it.There's a lot of feature's and technic to learn to get a great pictures.My suggestion is to get the dvd with rick sammon's canon eos digital rebel personal training dvd for eos digital rebel XTi.Once you learn how to use it you will see...

Cons: internal flash is under exposure but preflash help

Best SLR

I have been taking pictures for quite some time with a point and shot camera all from canon and decided to upgrade myself to my first SLR camera. It’s been wonderful. I love it. The quality of picture it takes is amazing. If you are a first timer and is looking for a great startup SLR camera this is the one. Trust Me.
Pros: excellent image quality, easy to use, good battery life, love the self cleaning sensor unit
Cons: no live digital display, not great when iso set up high in low lighting
