Best Camera Ever Owned

I got this camera for Christmas in 2007, and I will have to say that it's the best camera I have ever owned! It did take me a while to learn the features (I'm actually still learning) but once I did, I couldn't believe my eyes on what this thing can do! The lens it came with was just fine, since this is my first D-SLR camera (I've always had point & shoot digital cameras), and I just got a 75-300 mm Canon (of course!) lens this past Christmas.
I would say that this camera is the perfect gift for those that are serious about their photography. This camera will take them a long way with it!
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Solid Operation, easy to use, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, easy to read manual
Cons: no live view

A okay camera for the money. Personally my best pictures are still from the Rebel G film camera, that cost a lot less. It is really good at close ups and macro shots, but for distance beyond 15 feet I get much better clarity from the Rebel G.
Pros: add a pro
Cons: add a con

I really cannot add anything to all the good that has already been said about this camera. I love mine and will only upgrade to a more advanced Canon (perhaps a Mark II). I'm sticking with Canon.
There is one little problem and it applies to all the cameras that I know of on the market. It is really a rather big thing for about 30-35% of us users. there is no left hand model. This could be fixed by adding a cable release (that's the way I handled the problem with my old film cameras) or by making the extra power packs with left hand shutter releases. Just a suggestion,
Pros: Superior build quality, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Nice features/settings, quiet, Quick Start-up time, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, Difficult to use

canon picture quality

i went from the 8 mega pixal to this 10 meg and the quality of the color was brighter with the 8meg camera, the poping color is not there, you can get the high color from photoshop touch up, but i would rather have the high color right from the camera, i am going to update the firmware and see if the color is better, i would recomend the new 18 mega pixal right off the bat, thats what im getting next, canon is the only camera to buy though, i have many lenses from canon and the lenses are the highest quality i have ever used, i have ben a canon user for 12 years and will not use anything else, this camera dose take great pics, and maybe i just need to make some personal adjustments on the camera to make the colors jump, i havent tried the personal settings yet, im afraid of messing something up...
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
