Easy wireless setup and beautiful print quality

I usually buy monochrome laser printers for 3 reasons, I rarely have a need to print in color, I like the professional look of a laser printed document and I despise spending money on and replacing ink cartridges so frequently.
I have received mailings and related documents that were created on inkjets. They appeared cheesy. While the business that sent them may have been legitimate and upscale, I did not get that feeling looking at the documents they sent. I want my correspondence to portray a professional image. This inkjet does just that. Very nice!!
After purchasing this printer I now have both a laser and inkjet printer. I would not hesitate to use this for text if it wasn't for the cost and frequent need to replace ink cartridges. (although I have not used this printer long enough to know what that will look like).
Set up was incredibly easy. My last wireless printer took me hours. This one auto-detected everything and automatically set itself up when I installed the installation software. I was surprised.
So many features rarely found at this price. I like it a lot so far!

Poor Print Quality

Printer worked fine for a few weeks, though wifi connection has always been intermittent.
Recently, printer started leaving large horizontal blank lines on printed pages.
Performed the maintenance checks several times, with only slight improvement. Repeated maintenance checks completely depleted new ink cartridges.
Wil be returning product for a refund.

I use this printer mainly to edit and print pictures that I take. I get excellent results. Pictures are clear and sharp with true colors to images.

Epson WF 2660 Printer is a great unit for its cost

I love Epson printers and the quality of prints from normal docs to photos. This printer is no exception. Plus it prints double-sided jobs!
It took longer to setup on my wireless network than I expected; probably a half hour until the setup was done...it kept getting hung up during the setup process. Once it was on the network it worked perfectly. I am still giving it 5 stars because for the price, this is a quality printer for home use.

Registration process

Epson did a great job with making the setup simple and automatic. However, when you go to register your product and it asks for the date of purchase, they typo'd the date masking example and reversed the MM and DD. When you follow their example you get an error for the date, but after 3 attempts to correct I took a gamble and swapped the entry for MM and DD and then it worked.

Unreliable printing both wired and wireless
on August 4, 2015

I've owned this printer 5 months, updated the software, and still found it to be balky, sometimes printing and sometimes not. Turning router, printer, and computer (MacBook Pro) failed to resolve issue. Connecting it with a USB cord doesn't solve the problem of not printing. Then suddenly, after a restless night's sleep, it'll print wirelessly again. Baffling! Can't recommend because of its shaky reliability.

Brand new, just set it up, and it doesn't work! Can't get the ink carrier to move to the left, so I can install the ink. Lifting the lid does not move the carrier to the lift. Please help! Have tried everything!

NOT for college students

I live on campus for college and bought this printer expecting a practical and easy use machine. However, in order to set up the printer, it needs to be linked to your computer using the disk they provide. If you have a Mac Air like I do, or the new Macbook like my roommate does, this is impossible since all of the new laptops don't have disc drives. An alternative is to connect the printer to the Wifi. Because I live in the dorms, I use the common wifi everyone on our floor shares. However someone in a different room set up their printer to the wifi already, so now my printer won't allow me to use the wifi. So if you already have a wireless printer on your wifi, don't get this product because it won't set up to an already "in-use" wifi. A third alternative is to plug it in with a USB cable, which does NOT come with the printer. You would have to go out and purchase that separately. The printer also offers direct print, but when you use their direct print feature, you can't be online. It requires you to switch wifi servers, so if you want to print from the internet, forget it.
I've just had way too many technical difficulties with this printer and it's impractical and the advertised features are pretty out of date.
