Great Appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did not have much space under our kitchen cabinet so we went to several manufacturers' websites, specified French doors, bottom freezer, through the door dispenser for water/ice cube/crushed ice, then looked for the shortest cabinet height we could find and this was the winner! Turns out the quoted specification for the cabinet height does not include the space from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet, which is about 5/8". Long story short, we had to bring in a cabinet maker and have our cabinet raised up to accommodate our new Frigidaire fridge/freezer but we really like it!
Just today I turned off the power to the whole house to change out a faulty circuit breaker and when I restored the power we started hearing a beep-beep-beep, traced the noise to our new fridge, and learned about the "power failure" alarm that is a handy feature in case you are away and the power is off for an extended period of time. There are also high temperature alarms for the freezer section and the fridge section but they disappear after the fridge returns to normal operating temp's, while the "power failure" alarm is maintained until reset by the owner. We have very few devices left in our house that will show the duration of a power failure so this "power failure" feature is important to us to give us a heads up when we return to the house.

Owned less than a year.....horrible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this fridge 10.5 months ago. First repair call was just 4 months after purchase. 6 months later with 8 more service calls (6 in just the past 3 months) Frigidaire is finally replacing it...with exactly the same model. Not a happy customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
