Ice makers are a joke.

We are 1.5 years into ownership of this fridge. I wish we were making ice by hand still. We have had upper ice maker replaced twice, lower ice maker fixed twice and looks like we will be calling service again. Glad we bought the 5 year warranty. When our 5 years are done then I don't know what we will do. Frigidaire, plastic gears are just trouble. We have been loyal customers to this brand. This continuous problem makes us rethink our purchase. So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another Ice Maker Down!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I love this fridge. It has been fantastic for the first 9 months. Last week the upper ice maker started making a loud noise then gradually went away. I turned the ice maker on and off and went on my business. Well 4 days later we are out of ice in the dispenser and cannot get it to make anymore ice. Thankfully a repair tech is scheduled to come out and look at it. I hope it gets fixed right the first time and my faith is restored. Apparently, this is a very common problem.

Tricky ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker in the freezer makes a clicking sound that sounds like the stove top just before it ignites. The water dispenser drips from the back of the handle

JBird3, the water valve will snap on when the ice maker is calling for water. This is a normal. Could an ice cube be stuck in the chute causing the water dripping? lots of problems

Very dissapointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had nothing but problems out of fridgidaire products. This refrigerator shut off for no apparent reason and showed a "power fail" light. Furthermore, the refridgerator is loud from time too time.

Good not great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brand new and icemaker in freezer did not work, was repaired. Is better but not consistent with staying on. Also if ice falls behind it is stuck there till melts!! Not a great idea.

After reviewing your account, I do understand that service was out mid-February and was able to correct your initial matters. Typically, ice makers produce about 10 cubes (one tray) every 90 - 120 minutes. Too noisy

We received it today along with the three other matching appliances. Beautiful design, unfortunately its high-pitched hum, pulsating sound is too loud, very noticeable. Why don't you offer the quiet design package for this product like you do for Gallery. May try a different one of the same just in case this is a bad one.

Gosh April! I understand your concerns with the noticeable sounds on your refrigerator and can see how it may be somewhat bothersome. Your refrigerator will make many noises such as humming. Which is a normal operational sound the ice maker may make as the ice mold travels back and forth between its fill and freeze positions.
