Works great but very noisy!

Hi, Carole571! Thank you for taking the time out to share your feedback with us. We understand that some sounds coming from your freezer can be clamorous. You may hear many sounds form your freezer such as vibrating or humming, which are normal. Freezers require strong seals to prevent the cold air inside of them from escaping. Rubber seals on edges of the door help to form a suction with the base of the fridge to keep the door tightly closed. You can reducing the vacuum created by the door placing more food inside. The vacuum gets stronger if there is more open air inside of the freezer, filling it with additional items helps reduce the suction.

Nice machine but way too loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the separate freestanding refrigerator and freestanding freezer - with the trim kit it is really attractive. We also like all the space inside, We wish the freezer had a water filter for the ice-maker - we had to have our plumber install an in-line water filter. Our biggest issue is how loud the freezer is - we had a factory service person come out and he could not make int any quieter. We had our contractor and the appliance installer listen to it and everyone says it should not be that loud. The service person did replace a fan unit and control board to make it cool appropriately but when he put it back together he did not install the bottom drawer correctly and now we can't open it now. Too bad these issues are there these are great units.

So spacious and bright!

This particular freezer is so spacious and bright, and has all the right shelves, bins & drawers to keep everything organized and accessible!

Elegant, sleek and so very heartbreaking

We bought the combo with trim kit in late 2015. We designed our kitchen around the set. Unfortunately this freezer is now an only child as its twin died at 3 1/2 years. The freezer is a tad loud and does cycle more often than others we've had. On a positive note it still freezes things but will be on its way to the landfill after this weekend when hopefully a more dependable setup arrives. Yea yea I know if I had paid several hundred dollars every couple years it would have made a very expensive appliance even more expensive and MAY have gotten it fixed or replaced with the extended warranty. Frigidaire has been making refrigeration equipment for over 100 years and I can't get a refrigerator that lasts 4. Yes I'm bitter. Sadly the appliance salesman told us the average lifespan for an appliance today is 4 to 8 years. Hopefully one of the manufacturers gets a reputation for durability and forces others to step up their game like occured in the auto industry. Keep your sweepstakes.
