The built in automatic select between floor usage and the hose and hand attachment is very nice. There is no forgetting to turn a knob to switch between the floor or attachment. Filling and emptying the unit is also easy.

Not sure what is wrong with this carpet cleaner but after I finish cleaning one rug, the cleaner needs a bath. It does not suck up the carpet fibers into the tank rather just saves them in the plastic tray above the rollers and then deposits them back on the carpet. It's good that so many pieces come off so you can wash them and pick out all the fibers but the machine itself is a little cumbersome to hold over the tub and wash and dry before moving on to the next room. Also pulls up thread in textured carpets. I've had a couple of rug cleaners in my life time and have never had one that wouldn't suck up the fibers and dirt.

Thanks for the feedback, Doreen - As you noticed the process of deep cleaning you carpets will pull up a lot of loose fiber that's trapped deep in your rugs and carpet. Since this machine is designed for suctioning water, not all the fiber will not be suctioned up. Wait until it drys and you can vacuum it after cleaning for easy removal.

Having never used a rug cleaner I was surprised how fast I became comfortable with this machine. It did an excellent job and was very easy to clean. The manual did a good job of informing how to use and care for the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a few minutes to assemble, but once it's together - great product! The tank is super easy to get on and off, easy to fill, easy to clean. The machine is easy to push and pull. OLD dirt and even and old wine stain came right out the first time without pretreating (I used the 2x deep clean and protect formula). Also used one of the small attachments on the stairs into my sunken living room and that was easy as well. Haven't used the other attachments yet but I'm confident they'll work well. I'm entirely happy with my purchase, and would say it's excellent value.
