Do not use k cup adaptor in this machine, it clogs the water line and machine stops working. Keurig is working on coming up with an adaptor but for now there isn't one.
I got my first V500 in January. Worked great but I had a hard time finding V-Cups of the coffees I like. So I got the adaptor and started buying K-Cups for some coffees. After rotating back and forth for a few weeks the machine died. Keurig was great about it and sent me a new machine that arrived 2 days later. Today is exactly 1 week from my initial call and the same problem happened. I was brewing a V-Cup today, but I used a K-cup 3 or 4 times this past week. I just read a prior post on this. Hope they can fix this soon.
I have had a K-cup brewer for three years and love it. I finally decided to cash in some of my rewards points from all of the K-cups I have purchased from Keurig and purchase the Vue. I have to say I love it! I really like that you can select the "stronger" setting and the cup size in 2 oz. increments. I was using two K-cups per cup to get the right strength in a larger mug of coffee. With the Vue, I can use an extra-bold, such as Newman's Own, select stronger, then select 12 oz. and I can get a great cup of coffee. In the end, the Vue packs are actually cheaper for my use than the K-cups because I only have to use one per cup, instead of two. I always purchase my coffee through Keurig because I have found they have the best selection, and with their sales, they have the best prices. I just hope that it will last as long as my other Keurig. But, it if does break, I have to say I will get another.
Pros: Customizable, Coffee tastes great

I had given the V500 brewer to my spouse in December 2013. Since she is the only one in the house that enjoys coffee, a single cup brewer only makes sense. I felt better about getting this brewer due, in part, to the recyclable cups. The brewer gets used everyday and sometimes several times during the day. On the positive side, the brewer uses optimal techniques to brew coffee, tea, latte, or powdered mixes. We have used the brewer on virtually every setting available. We have gotten chai latte, 2 step cafe, coffee, and tea (both hot and over ice). It performs well using the keurig approved Vue cups. On the negative side, the V500 always seems to need refilling. If you make yourself 4- 8 oz. drinks in a day, be prepared to refill the reservoir everyday. Nothing is more frustrating than waiting for the water to heat up only to have the brewer tell you to add water. The 3rd party adapters do NOT work well. If you want to keep your brewer in good working order, do not use K cups at all. Additionally, we have an adapter that will let you use your own coffee or tea in the brewer. However, you need to use double the normal amount to get the same result using normal brewing methods. I would not use an adapter for my favorite teas. I will rely on my french press to make loose leaf tea. Lastly, the variety of different coffees, etc. available for the Vue pales in comparison to its sister brewer, the K cup. In short, buy this brewer if you want good brewed coffee from Keurig approved Vue cups.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma, Balanced Acidity
Cons: Limited Variety
