Stopped working after 1 year

Button to open and close was always hard and loud, now 1 year after purchasing it is completely useless won’t even turn on. I’ve had other brands last 10 years or more with no issues.

Hoping this lasts longer than a year

I first purchased this model and installed in 2020...It lasted only a little over a year...And of course I didn't take an extended warranty. Add to that, no parts available for months and the cost to repair was just a little less than a new one. So I've purchased yet again....and hoping this one lasts! If I didn't have a custom area for this and a color constraint since I have other GE appliances, I probably would have changed brands....Sorry GE

Looks great but died after only three years

I expected better quality to ensure longevity, particularly because I had this microwave built-in. Three years after installing, it's dead and the product has been discontinued! Not sure what to do now...I have a matching built-in oven right below and am now counting the days until it fails too.

The worst appliance ever 2.0

What happened to us was exactly as the other client explained in his review. We purchased a new construction house that came with a GE profile kitchen appliances in February of 2020, after 2 and half years of use we start seeing the lost of power as well. It’s very frustrating having this “new appliance” failed to us so quickly. Two days ago it stopped heating altogether. At this point I could almost guarantee you that the prior reviewer is my neighbor. Can’t believe that GE knows about it and don’t do a recall on this microwave. Please GE recommend a solution. I can’t be buying every 2 or 3 years a new microwave! It is very irresponsible as a company to put forward a product that doesn’t work.

We are satisfied with the microwave. What does disturb us however is that this is the third one we’ve purchased as they seem to wear out every three years. They just stop working. We have to check out the competition in the future. Too bad.

Very Bad product!

I bought the home and it came with this microwave from previous owner. Mine was 2021 product. As my home warranty expired, the keypad started giving problem. Within months the the dish rotor started rotating constantly and a week after that it stopped moving and the oven stopped working. I have no other option than replacing it. I have a 8 yr old Samsung one which is still functioning fine.

Great Microwave Until Significant/Dangerous Issues

This microwave was great for a few years, but started having all sorts of issues about 6 months ago.
Intermittently the turntable would turn when the door was opened making it extremely hard to use. It was extremely bad, even dangerous when trying to take hot food out the microwave. We Had to carefully time grabbing the hot dish or bowl so you didn’t burn yourself.
Then about two weeks ago it completely stopped working wouldn’t turn on.
I turned off the breaker to the microwave to try and reset it. After doing that, it would turn on, but no longer will heated the food.
Reading online it seems like these issues are common with this model.
I do NOT recommend this microwave, especially because the price is so high and the trim kit doesn’t fit any other cheaper model (I chatted with GE support and confirmed this).
Very frustrating GE.
