Didn’t last 2 years

So, after 2 years of normal use the insulation in between the double doors start showing and like 3 months after it was like 50% of the left out. It look like my only option is to replace the door, but it only have 1 year guarantee. So it is expected for the customer to change the door every 2 years?

Love the convection features

Looks great and the convection features are awesome. Love using it for frozen pizza etc. comes out nice and crisp on the outside. We added a custom trim kit to fit our existing cabinet space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Knob & Buttons vs. Digital Push Pad

Please bring back the turn knob and buttons that were on older GE Profile Convection Microwave ovens. My fingers are becoming arthritic and I find the digital push pad hard and painful to use on my brand new GE Profile Convection MW Oven. It also requires more movements than the old turn knob and buttons. I also have a brand new GE Oven (basic model) and its digital control panel is very easy and comfortable to use. Why isn't the GE Profile Convection Microwave Oven's control panel designed with the same ease of use and minimal pressure required to activate the controls? Getting old is no fun!

Short life span

Installed in 2018 and in 2021 lights board started to malfunction Then turntable and microwave heating died in June 2022

This is the 2nd one that has died without warning after about 2-1/2 years. This time, the turntable quit working also. For the price, they ought to last longer than 2-1/2 years

Don’t buy

We built our house 4.3 years ago and got all new GE appliances. This microwave started going bad within 3-3.5 years. First certain lights behind the panel went out (ex. the 8 looked like 7) then the buttons started not working. (Could only use the 2, 5, 8 buttons). Then the turntable would start turning when we opened the door. Then it started not heating our food. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn’t. We wouldn’t purchase this microwave again if we had it to do over. It wasn’t worth the price we paid…and it’s even higher now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Control panel is useless

After just two and a half years of normal use, the control panel first started to lose some of the time LED lines. It quickly progressed to allowing use of only the first of three number columns on the control panel (numbers 1, 4, and 7). We no longer can use any of button to include the Start button! I hesitated to buy a GE product but the salesman assured me the past reliability issues had been solved by GE. Obviously for this microwave that is not the case.
