Still Learning the Features

Our new SS Microwave looks great installed with the trim kit. We chose a GE because we have had other GE Profile Microwave/Convection Ovens. This new one is not as user-friendly as our previous models. Part of the problem is that the printed manual that came with it is not very helpful. I may feel differently once I figure it all out.

Convection broil works great but...

It's a microwave. Complaint there is no light.
For the convection oven, it comes with a metal grill... I accidentally put it in for 5 minutes and didn't press the "broil" button. Therefore it microwaved and now my kitchen is smoking. How bad is that?

Great style and performance!

So far so good. Had to make a slight adjustment to the door as it came bent above the hinge and would expand causing the door to stick and pop upon opening when using the convection feature. But works well now! Nice style and color options.

Just what I needed

I have a small kitchen and this unit acts as a second oven. It's also great to use the oven on hot days or if I have a small item so that I don't need to heat the big oven on the range. It has a smaller clearance requirement than other units so it fits in a smaller space than other units. It has a larger interior which allows larger dishes in it for cooking. I made a pie and it came out perfect. It even has a "Warm" feature. The only negative is that the controls are a bit confusing, but I am getting used to them.
