Breaking Down. Waste of Money

I got the complete GE Profile package of Oven and gas range, Dishwasher, Hood and built in Microwave. I’ve seen people saying here that there product lasted for 15-20 years, but my microwave broke down in less than 4 years. And these things are expensive.
It won't spin or heat but the light comes on like it's working with all the sound. Sometimes it spins when the door is open. It’s really frustrating.

Looks great but fails early

Purchased in late 2016 and installed in 2017. The control board display and buttons began to fail after one year and the unit completely failed in 2019. Replaced with identical microwave in 2020 as it is built-in and we love the appearance. Same situation after one year...half the control buttons don't work and the lower half of the display failed. Now in 2022, it stopped heating and the turntable continues to turn when the door is open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s not worth it.

Do not believe reviews that say this convection oven it’s great or it’s all you need. Since the first day we start using it we felt like something is wrong with it but since everything was working properly nobody wanted to talk to us about replacing it. Microwave was taking so long to warm up food and convection oven was warming up so long that it was easier to use regular over… seriously comparable to sharp convection oven this GE product is a toy. We purchased additional extended warranty and maybe month or two after it expires out microwave stole working completely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Get a different model!

This microwave lasted 3 years at full capacity and the last year, only a couple of buttons worked. My neighbors have same one and most of theirs have died as well. It's not a cheap microwave so this is terrible.

Not what I was used to with GE

I had to have a repair done pretty quickly but it was under warranty the insulation around the glass door fell down. Makes me concerned about the quality of the product. The convection oven heat seems to be inconsistent. I probably wouldn’t buy this model again

Not as good as my previous model

We bought this to replace our previous model that we loved but died and would cost more to fix than it was worth. This model has more bells and whistles such as a Key pad rather than dial. The keypad is small and is not back lit and is difficult to use.
The size is just enough smaller that I cannot use my preferred pans. This may seem a small thing but since I use this oven for much of my cooking, it is causing much grief.
I have not used the broiler feature yet since I am still fighting with the convection/microwave feature.
It looks good on the counter and is still easy to clean and I do like the beverage heating feature to rewarm my cold coffee in the morning..
This might be a great oven for someone who has not had one before and is willing to follow a new learning curve.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked well exactly for a year

One year warranty was over and the appliance stopped working. The appliances were provided by the builder. It sucks that right after the one year mark the hood, one of the burners on the cooktop and the microwave stopped working. Speaks a lot about GE's quality
