Not as rugged as the GE model it replaced

We bought this microwave-convection combo to replace the 13-year-old model that was starting to break down. Although it is the same size and power, it is lighter feels less rugged. It has a button to open the door instead of a pull handle like the old one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not certain it was worth the extra paid for a convection microwave, given what can actually fit inside

improper specs

Just bought new home with this microwave installed in cabinet over wall oven JT5000SFSS. When using microwave, the wall oven's control panel fogs up and stops working. Twice, GE Techs came out and said this microwave cannot be installed over a wall oven because it vents downward. GE clearly states on website that it can. Can't seem to get qualified answers from Builder or from anyone at GE in spite of several calls to GE C/S and your Consumer Advocate Dept. What now??

The first 2 had electrical issues and were replaced under warranty

Stylish with all the Superb Functions

I chose this microwave because it has convection baking, grilling and sensor microwave heating. I can use it as a warmer on those big holiday meals or an additional oven. I love the style of this microwave and I love that it's stainless inside as well as out making clean up a breeze.

I love my new GE convection microwave. It’s much more powerful than my old microwave and the slate color is very nice. I have several GE appliances, some of which I’ve owned for over 15 years. GE has been a reliable brand for me and that means less to worry about. I would recommend this microwave to others for sure.

I've GE used Convection Microwaves for at least 20 yrs. I feel they are the best, but I do wish this one had a front panel light as the previous ones did.
