In six years, we have owned 3 of this model microwave. Getting expensive to replace them every 2 or so years!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed in Quality

Our new kitchen was completed in January 2020. The problems started in September 2023 where the LED display was starting to fail. A few weeks later in December 2023 the microwave blew a house circuit breaker when heating our granddaughters milk in a plastic bottle. We reset the circuit breaker and tried to reuse and saw sparks in the microwave and blew the circuit breaker again. We are away about 4 months a year and minimally use the microwave the other 8 months. We thought by spending more money on this microwave than others we thought we were getting a higher quality product but to our surprise and disappointment we did not. It seems based on my experience and others there is a quality control issue. This probably is the last time I will buy a GE appliance.

Works well but like my other GE appliance, the LED display lost some lights. Can't tell what time it is or what time is left on a count down.

Poor Quality

Love the countertop design but POOR quality! The plate inside the microwave kept spinning even without starting the microwave timer. Then the plate stopped spinning even the timer kickedoff. Eventually the microwave was totally broken (not heating the food).

Short life

After 2years and five months it is broke. I was happy with it being above my two built in ovens. My grandkids would not be able to reach it. We are a small household, and it is not overused, and already broke. Stopped heating. It matches the ovens, and now I feel stuck in this product.

Disappointingly short life span on this microwave.

For the price we paid, I expected this microwave to last longer than 3 years. The control panel has died and only two buttons work. It is very discouraging to pay top dollar for a built in with a trim kit and have it die so soon. Looks like we should go with another brand for the replacement. I hope the oven and cooktop don't die soon....

Does not last. No power at all

Super frustrated and disappointed. We purchased a brand-new home from a builder in 2021, which included an upgraded built-in GE microwave. Although we didn’t move in until some time later, the unit has now completely stopped working — it has no power at all. We even went so far as to remove it from the kitchen cabinetry and test it on a different outlet, only to get the same result. For an upgraded product that’s seen relatively light use, this is extremely disheartening. GE, stand behind your products and take pride in what you sell.
