Fantastic Microwave

I have a custom kitchen and this stainless steel microwave compliments the looks perfectly. The optional framing kit allowed me to make it look like the cabinet was specifically made to accommodate the microwave.

GE Profile Microwave - Great Product

Nice design, easy to use. I installed the unit in a cabinet above my built-in oven and was part of a project to replace my kitchen appliances - refrigerator, oven, microwave oven, and dishwasher

GE Profile convection oven / microwave combo

I have only had it for 3 weeks . I have not tried the convection oven feature so can ‘t give a truly fair review . I purchased only after reading reviews and seeing a catalog picture. . Immediately disappointed in all the plastic on door and face of appliance . Feels cheap . The inside dimensions are narrow not accommodating a casserole dish . Its size is 1.7cu , but seems small.
Compared to my old 29 year old microwave that was still worked , heavy , made of steal this one is a disappointment . I replaced old one simply updating my kitchen appliances .

Note: If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. Worst brand of microwaves ever

Horrible. Less than 3 years and the microwave is shot. This is probably the 4th GE Profile microwave I’ve owned. I keep replacing them because I don’t have to buy another trim kit so it’s less expensive. This one’s protective barrier in the door started falling out shortly after the warranty ended (of course). The last microwave caught on fire. Never again. I’d sooner pay to have the space re-configured for another brand than waste more money on GE Profile. Every GE Profile appliance I’ve owned has been nothing but cheap and horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
