Whenever oven temperature is over 375 you need to run exhaust fan. The heat vents direct the heat directly on my cabinets resulting in the laminate to shrink and peel away from the panel

Expected much more from GE

This duel fuel oven/stove replaced an excellent oven my family had for 56 years. I’ve had this oven for about 6 years. This was an expensive oven that has a great look, but it’s performance has not lived up to its pricey cost. Currently, it is not even working properly. The broiler doesn’t work, the oven itself always takes an excessively long time to heat up, but doesn’t reach the desired temperature. This is so typical of most products today. I believe they are purposely designed to fail so consumers can purchase the expensive extended warranty repair plans or replace the units every 5 years or so. I won’t get 56 years of quality like the unit I replaced. Now I’ve got to pay a fortune to repair this thing and I am a senior citizen on a fixed income.

I was excited last Friday to get my new GE Duel Fuel Range. It was installed and the men left. I noticed the oven light was on so I thought I should get started with learning about my new range because it is close to Christmas and I have less than two weeks to make lots of Christmas cookies. I tried to turn the oven light off and it would not turn off. I tried to set the time in the clock and it kept saying to close the oven door. I tried to turn the oven on and could not, I kept getting the message to close the oven door. I tried to turn the warming drawer on and got the same message. The only thing that is working is the top burners. The soonest that anyone is coming to look at my brand new range is this Friday. I am suppose to cook Christmas dinner.....only if they can repair it in the one visit this Friday. Many years ago I had a problem with a GE refrigerator and I vowed never to buy another GE product. I decided many years had passed so let's give them another try. Am I going to be sorry for picking GE???

My range doesn't look like this picture...as mine doesn't have vents in the back, and the top grid is quite modern and artistic looking, and the oven door has the curved Profile series opening. I do use the lock-out feature (I was always bumping the controls) and find it a little annoying, but overall mine works great and I love having the dual fuels!

Range is going in the trash

I hate this range. The ovens are fine, but the gas cooktop cannot be turned to a low flame. If you cook everything at a boil, I would love to give you this piece of garbage.

Twisted Drawer

The product functions as defined. The warming drawer below the oven has not closed propely since delivery. Four service calls and countless parts ordered and delivered and still the drawer is not aligned correctly. Disappointing!

Easy to use, not so easy to clean

We've had our range for a couple of months, and like it very much. A few cons: the stainless steel and glass control panels are frequently grease-spotted, are very visible, and require cleaning very often. The glass touch screen is inset, thus creating lots of little corners that are VERY hard to clean. The ball-bearing oven rack sounds like a great idea; in practice, it slides so easily that the momentum tends to make the hot pan slide right off towards you when it stops. The broiler doesn't work with the door open; thus you're constantly opening/closing the door to see exactly how brown the food is. Even using the super hot burner, it seems to take much longer to boil water than did our electric range. And because the gas heat comes up around the pan edges when frying (unlike our electric range), grease spots on the edges of the pan (inside) are often so baked on that it's necessary to attack them quite diligently with steel wool to remove. And, of course, the range was very expensive.
