Great Purchase

After researching brands for 3 months, I purchased this GE range. Our old range was a 20 years old downdraft unit. We were concerned we would have to put in a range hood and having a range with all the technology was of concern. This range is very intuitive and user friendly. I am very happy with this product.

GE Profile Series range

I really agonized over which brand of range to select. I did my due diligence on many models before selecting the GE Profile Series. It was down to choosing the double oven vs single oven with warming tray. I am pleased with my choice of the warming tray. My decision was also predicated on having the middle burner accommodate a grill/griddle. I really love that feature. All things considered I am very pleased with my choice.

excellent cooks oven

I haven't had a gas range in over 20 years. I am very happy with the controls on the cook top and clean up is easier than I anticipated. Oven controls are good too and so far I'm happy with baking bread, pizza and roasting meats. Very pleased overall.

The worst quality

I purchased ge cafe and I am on my second one.... the first one the warming drawer would not open. The delivery man said the rails were bent at the factory. The second one the gas stove burners do not work! As you turn down the knob the flame stays the same. I have a power boil setting, HI, 2, and a low. That is it GE repairman came out and said that is how it is... Really then why have a dial with HI, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, and low? It should say this has rage has only 4 settings none of which you can sauté. Good news is you can boil water or melt chocolate and that is it. I want my old GE profile back!!!

Not up to quality level for price point

Control pad for oven function does not operate smooth and easily as it should, certain buttons we have to press very, very hard to get to function and others are activated by pressing in general area with feather lite touch. Oven does heat very evenly and temperature is very accurate. Range top burners are a little slow to ignite but are very evenly flamed and have a good range of temperature control. Have not tried convection bake or self cleaning function yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oven temperature Bad

The touch pad control panel is not user friendly. It was replaced during warranty but not much changed. Sometimes the touch required to make a selection is light while other times it requires an almost pounding on the panel to make a change.
Second, the oven temperature is not accurate. An adjustment was made during warranty but again, not much changed. I installed an oven temp gauge to monitor the oven temperature.
It’s really irritating when switching between Convection Bake and Conventional baking and see a difference of almost 50 degrees.
I would not recommend this product.

Installed few days ago. Love it! The power boil feature is fabulous. Roll out oven rack is very nice. It makes checking on baked items much easier.
