Very unhappy!

I have had the appliance installed in my home for only 5 months and the controller panel for the electrical portion of the stove has already broken! I had a houseful of company and could not cook the dinner I had prepared nor the breakfast I planned. Also the burners take a long time to ignite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful Range!

I purchased this range only from the reviews and info that I read online. It is exactly as I read with one exception. There was a negative review on the burners. I have propane gas. I paid for a GE service call for the conversion from natural gas to propane gas. The repairman adjusted all of the burners as well. I have no problem with low or high settings. It is great! I like that the repairmen are GE repairmen! Qualified and knowledgable with the GE product!

Not impressed

Never been impressed by this oven, controls are not intuitive, the temperature probe does not give any feedback, the timer signal is too quiet and short.
Now to top it all off, the oven is dead, control panel stopped working after only 18 months.

The DualFuel stove I has a great oven. Maybe I am just not familiar with gas. Wish it were easy to switch the burner heads. Often I'd like to have bigger ones in back.

Great for Cooking but not for cleaning

When we cook on the burners, everything splatters all over the front control panel and the knobs and is a real pain to clean up. The shiny metallic surfaces show everything, on the handles, the oven door, and the cook top. Other than that, the burners ignite quickly, there is a lot of control over them, and the oven seems to work well. Another issue we found was the timer does not countdown in seconds, just minutes so unless we are just using it wrong, you cannot time things under a minute in length.

Nice upgrade!

We've wanted to switch to a gas range for a while but were waiting to remodel our kitchen before buying a new one. We chose this model after deciding we wanted a dual fuel range, which means gas stove (fast heating and fast to cool down, more precise control) and electric oven (less humidify and more even temperature control). Next, we narrowed our search to slide in ranges and finally dialed in the price range. Then we picked the highest customer rated range across several websites.
There were other brands that maybe looked sleeker but had a couple of really negative reviews (that were consistent across negative reviews, so we knew it was not just one person complaining) and there were brands that were nicer looking with great reviews but double the price. Ultimately it boiled down to how much we wanted to spend and what we wanted to get vs which had the best reviews in the selection we could afford.
When I went to install the range (myself) the first time, I discovered that during assembly or transport, two of the oven racks were placed in such a way that they could physically not be removed. Ever. So I called customer service and with no hassle at all, they delivered another range. This time I chose to have them install it and save me the hassle. Everything went well.
The range is a couple of weeks old. I've cooked a few things on it and baked a couple of things in it and so far everything has passed with flying colors. I expected to make a huge mess and find it hard to clean, but if anything, I'm making less of a mess on this range compared to our flat top electric range. I think this is because the gas grill holds woks and curved pans in place firmly so they dont spin around and shift as I stir.
I like the idea of the long middle burner for using a griddle. I think I prefer just using the biggest burner instead.
A little early to comment on durability.
I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 for quality control issues on the first range we received.

2 weeks of ownership and all is well

This is a great range. The dual fuel is very nice. I advise to make sure you season the grill plate as soon as you get it. It comes pre-seasoned but it needs to be done at home. The touch screen is different than what I was used to but a non issue. The larger burner boiled 4 qts of water in 5 min. in a big brand stainless steel pot. Cleaned the stainless steel parts of the range with glass cleaner and it worked very well. Do not use on other parts..... the bottom rack is built so that it doesn't tilt down when extended out of the oven... very nice feature... We haven't cooked a big bird in it yet but I'm looking forward to seeing how the built in thermometer works.

Good oven, but some problems

The oven temperature is not correct. The manual states that "to adjust the temperature use the Bake pad to enter the adjust mode. A number between 35 and -35 appears." No number appears, just three dashes (- - -). Also, the stainless steel where the cook knobs are located scratch VERY EASILY. GE should change the design as I've seen that complaint elsewhere.
