The counter depth combined with the upper French doors provide full views of the contents to prevent food from getting hidden and lost. The variety of shelves and drawers is great for organizing.

Haven't had a bottom freezer before and so far so good, don't have the ice maker hooked up yet--delay in kitchen project...love the french doors and also the cabinet width (so it doesn't stick out far as I have an island).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it but horribly awkward water dispenser

This refrigerator is great except the inside water dispenser is about as awkward as it can get. It requires two hands which is very awkward when having to reach up and to the left, especially when wanting to fill something larger than a drinking glass. We do have filtered water at our beverage station sink so that should compensate. I chose the counter depth French door model in order to have food easily visible and accessible for me since I have severe back problems but didn’t want to give up refrigerator space to an on-the-door water dispenser, and this refrigerator is great for those needs. Overall very happy.

Perfect replacement for our old refrigerator. Love the slate color, and the best feature is how bright and light it is inside.

This was an emergency purchase - ie- the old one died. I searched the GE website for the cubic size, dimensions and features I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. I bought this sight unseen (other than the pictures on the website and I am not very imaginative!). Just today, 3 weeks after it was installed, my husband says: "I'm still blown away by how fantastic this refrigerator is. Features and looks are tops". I have to agree with him. I would recommend this model to any one looking for similar features. GREAT PRODUCT.

great lighting, great space, and it's counter depth, when delivered I'm guessing a water line was spliced, took 2 weeks to get the right water line, just to avoid voiding my warranty, since we had just got the fridge. so 2 weeks finally and it took me 5 min. to install . called GE service 4 times to get this solved, the last time the lady was very helpful. guess it just depends on who you get.

Overall, not impressed. The freezer door did not have a good seal and therefore moisture accumulated at the top causing it to freeze. The store that it was purchased from is going to replace the door but because it is a special item it has not come in yet so have had this issue almost since day one, which was sometime in late August.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good looking! Bought while renovating our kitchen with all matching appliances. Two things wrong: 1) quality control is bad. There was a lot of excess foam on the doors. We tried replacing the doors 4 times before we had to get a totally new refrigerator. 2) It is very loud and makes strange noise - told this is normal.
Except for those two things, it seems to be a good refrigerator.
