love the space

We've had this product for 3 months and love it. The interior space is well designed. Like having the water dispenser on the inside, seems to be a better use of space then our previous models. The exterior finish is easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfection in an appliance

We did a TON of shopping around before we decided on a fridge and I absolutely love our decision. I appreciate the chic design of the non-ice-in-door look, although I do love the easy accessibility of the inside water filter. The LED lighting means we never are short on light, it has plenty of space for all our family needs. I was skeptical on the freezer and thought I wanted more drawers but in fact this has done the job perfectly. You don’t lose that much space in a counter depth fridge if you have a versitile, efficient fridge. This is exactly that! Also, the slate color looks phenomenal and I LOVE not having magnets on the fridge. We haven’t had any problems with it in the 4 months we’ve had it. I would definitely recommend this product for everyone out there reading 1,000,000 reviews like we did! You won’t be sorry!

Love this fridge & I read hours of reviews!

This was one of four GE appliances we bought with our much needed kitchen remodel. We have a smaller kitchen so I decided to get the counter depth fridge which of course is much more expensive than its counterpart but it looks great in our kitchen. I love the slate color since it doesn't show fingerprints. For some unknown reason the sticker was actually on the front of the refrigerator and not on the plastic wrapping so I just bought the residue remover that was recommended and that worked well.
Someone had mentioned that the fridge was loud but I haven't experienced that. I will say that when the ice maker is first making ice it is a bit noisy when it is dropping the ice cubes but that isn't often. It makes plenty of ice as well and like someone else had said in a review you can put your ice packs in between the ice cubes and the compartment next to it.
There seems to be plenty of room for everything we need but there are only 3 of us now; if I still had kids at home or a larger family (5 or more) the regular depth fridge would probably be needed.
Lastly since there were many reviews that had issues with the external ice and water dispenser that too was a reason I chose this fridge. Though not used often I like having the water dispenser on the inside and you can use it with one hand and like another reviewer said leave the glass under the spout for an extra second to catch the drips.

Replacement of side by side refrigerator

Everything works great, controls are simple, slate color is nice. The dogs can walk by with doors open now. Minor finishing touches can only be spotted after using refrigerator. The doors do not align at top even after following instructions to do so. The wheels do not lock. Little pieces of protective covering plastic are difficult to remove. Egg shelf is too small for egg carton.

Cleaning the shelves

I have recently discovered a shelf that had something leak through and go into and around the metal pieces that hold the glass. No problem, I will just take it apart and clean. NO NO NO! Nothing comes apart. It is now soaking in the sink with warm water and dawn------for the last hour & NO IT ISN'T COMING CLEAN. Went on the web page to look up in the owners manual how to clean this up. NOTHING. I guess other families don't spill juice, milk, etc. Just mine. I AM NOT HAPPY. Before I discovered this, I would of had to say I loved my new frig/freezer. Now I wish I had my old frig back that had all parts removable, cleanable, with ice trays in the freezer. The genius that came up with this, doesn't have a family or has a maid. Jean

Roomy for counter-depth

I really like the roominess of this counter-depth fridge. However a large pizza box will not fit. The water dispenser is good. I like the veg/fruit drawers and meat drawer. However it seems you have to pull from the exact center of the wide meat drawer for it to come out smoothly. I really like the lighting. Freezer holds a lot.

We really like the extra drawers with temperature settings in the fridge. After barely a month of use, our handle came off for the freezer door. Not sure if that was a faulty handle or what, but we were disappointed to have an issue that quickly. Especially since the product had a high price tag. The fridge can get pretty cold especially in the back as we had a pop get frozen.
