Love this refrigerator! Slate color is beautiful and no fingerprints!!! Works quietly and efficient. Appreciate the interior lighting, water feature and ice maker is great!

Layout of refrigerator/freezer space is excellent

I think this is the largest counter depth refrigerator in this width available. Interior lighting is unbelievably bright. Shelves and bins are very versatile and easily moved around. Very clean design. My only complaint are the manuals, too brief, did not see any thing on the deli drawer settings and suggested uses. One of the longest warranties on the sealed unit was a big factor in us choosing this refrigerator.

Bought a package of 4 GE appliances in Sept. 2014 with this refrigerator included. Refrigerator has totally stopped working....just waiting for the other 3 to go also. Buyer beware.....looks may be deceiving..

Loud low frequency droning noise from refrigerator

Three service calls in less than a month to repair a loud droning noise emanating from the refrigerator. Service tech had to install a pre-packaged "compressor noise stop" kit to reduce the droning sound. Overall the refrigerator suffered from poor quality engineering, poor product workmanship.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE IT!!!

We remodeled our kitchen May, 2014, and replaced all our appliances with GE Slate and we love them all. The color and finish are beautiful, the frig is spacious, well lit, adjustable, easy to clean and runs very quietly. We would buy this again if we had to do it all over. We shopped for 2 months and we so prefer this over stainless.

So disappointed!

We purchased this refrigerator in November, and I was disappointed in the temperature consistency from the beginning. Anything placed next to the back wall would freeze (at least partially). I would go back to my side-by side if I could. Now we are waiting on repairs because the vents and evaporator tend to ice up. For such an expensive appliance, it is not a winner. The only thing I like is the slate color, which is lovely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Interior Lighting!

We are very pleased with this purchase - the interior lighting is grea, easy to see all interior contents and interir space is ample for family of four. Only item stopping us from rating it 5 stars is that the fridge doors often stay open when thought to be closed (hence the need for the standard door open alarm).
