Elegant and Energy Efficient

We just moved into a new house, and were so excited to get all GE Profile appliances in the kitchen. I love the finish on this fridge- it is a dark gray and is smudge proof. The fridge and freezer are spacious, and there's plenty of ways to adjust the shelves to accommodate your contents. I like that the ice is small and falls neatly into a bin. There are neat features like a little bell that softly dings if the fridge door is left open- it's a helpful reminders to husbands and children to shut the door in a timely manner, and if the door were ever left open in error it would notify you before you lost the entire contents of your fridge (that happened to us once with another fridge- we had to toss everything). I highly recommend this unit.

Awesome space

We bought this refrigerator over two months ago. We couldn't be happier. It has so much space and versatility for storage. And it now comes in slate, which doesn't show fingerprints. I love this color, can't wait to replace the rest of my appliances!!!

Needed counter depth fridge.

This wasn't the fridge I would have picked if I was not limited to counter depth. However I am happy with it over all. My only complaint is the handles show tons of finger prints. I have to wipe them down several times a day to keep them looking clean.The ice maker works great and so does the internal water dispenser. I do wish the water dispenser was a bit lower so my youngest child could reach it but that could be a plus for someone else wanting to keep little ones away from it. I do love the slate finish and the fridge works great.

I initially wanted this refrigerator for the slate finish but I also love the freezer on the bottom. There is plenty of room on the doors and I like he countertop depth.

Love the layout! Sometimes you compromise space for the counter depth option but this refrigerator has a lot of room. Runs quiet, and the alarm feature when a door is left open too long is very handy with kids. Attractive design and perfectly compliments my slate microwave, range and dishwasher.

Bought this to replace a 10 year old side by side and this thing is extremely noisy when it’s running. Always sounds like it’s going to die. Called GE service and a tech came out and said all was well; it’s just the way the compressor is. Also, if you have a family bigger than 3, skip this one. Freezer is tiny and you lose a lot of space with the ice bin. Freezer always seems to develop a frost problem even though the door is closed tight and aligned. Internal water dispenser is useless as the tube is way too small and the button makes for awkward use. Fridge side is huge and easily configurable to hold just about anything. Overall, its way over priced for what you get but that's what you get I you want counter depth. Save the extra grand and get the bigger one with external water and ice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
