Having owned a plasma tv in the past I wasn't sure how this LG would compare. Having owned this LG for about two weeks it beat my plasma in every way. From the deepest blacks to very crisp colors this is the best I have ever seen.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

Great image quality but... TV prone to defects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Image quality is amazing. But after one year of very good experience, the TV stopped turning on for no reason. I've searched the internet that other people had similar issues. So I wouldn't recommend the product. It's too expensive to last only 1 year.

My LG is the best tv I have ever had and I'm 68 years old. The picture clarity is fantastic. You can do anything with this tv...check out all the features it offers. It's like having an additional computer in your home. If you love movies you'll love the Netflix feature. We looked at several others but nothing compared to the features you get with LG for the money. The others were all far more expensive. LG gives you quality for a working man's budget.

At last the perfect tv

I have waited a few years for OLED. From concept finally to inception and most importantly, a friendly price. No current tv has what OLED has, about perfect blacks and whites making the color rendition outstanding.

If image quality is at the top of your priorities (as it should) this display quality is simply amazing. Thanks to the OLED pixel technology, ultimate contrast and curved screen you will be looking for a chair and turning off your phone to keep from leaving the room. It is really worth your time to go find where to see this yourself. Go- do it.

Picture a big improvement over my older TV.

I am a retired Electrical engineer and my friends all call me a techie. I am always looking for the new and better. This year around the holidays I read about the new OLED TV's and went out shopping to see what all of the fuss was about. My first impression of this TV was WOW. I didn't really need a new TV but I had to have this one.
The blacks are blacker than any TV I have ever seen. The new 4 color pixels breath life into the picture that was not there before. The thinness of the screen was hard to believe. The 3D functionality was easier to use than any set I owned. I was concerned about the curve of the set but I don't even notice the curve but I do notice that the viewing angle is better than my old set.
The TV integrated with ease into my full function audio visual system and worked with no problems at all.
I would recommend to this set to anyone interest in high quality visual systems and would buy it again with no reservations at all.

Got the new TV for about a month now, fantastic picture quality - upconverts well 2d into 3d - pictures are crisp and I watched cricket word cup on it - just fantastic.
